“Great room and central location for Old Town”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

Great central location made exploring for a couple of days easy, with trams nearby.
If you want space try our room 180, just amazing.
Breakfast buffet top drawer as you'd expect, but expensive (?) at €21 a time. Great english speaking staff always very helpful.

Room Tip: Magic number 180 - please remember me at Christmas!

This Hotel was absolutely stunning, everything from the moment we checked in was 1st class, the service was excellent, our room 252 was superb, it was very spacious and well equipped, we had a balcony that looked over the garden which was fab, we ate in the restaurant and the food was superb, buffet breakfast was the best we've had in various hotels. The Bar area was very relaxing and very well decorated, it was a 5 to 10 minute walk into Ghents centre were there were numerous Cafes, Bars and restaurants, I would highly recommend this hotel for a luxury break.. we are already looking to book our return for the Ghent Jazz Festival..

What a lovely place. Easy location to walk to many attractions, but you could just stay and enjoy the hotel itself;) The fun wallpaper keeps it fresh and hip, but it is also very luxurious. We got a great price (about $175 US) and it felt like a steal for this place. The bar is reasonably priced for such a nice establishment, the breakfast buffet is very nice with tons of options, and the room was perfect. Roomy enough, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Everything I need. While I normally prefer smaller boutique hotels, this hotel was so fun and perfect, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Majestic old hotel in pleasant location with fabulous garden.
I booked a deluxe double room for single use for 174 Euros which was in the newer block across the garden which separates the original old part of the building that fronts onto the street from a newer L shaped black at the back.
The first floor room was fantastic – floor to ceiling windows on two sides so really light and airy, complete with balconies on both sides as well, with fabulous view across the gardens. Tasteful modern-meets-classic décor with high quality finishes that I immediately liked and felt conformable and at home.
Well-designed shower room with large walk-in show and modern fittings – all immaculate!
The desk was a little small, the power sockets could have been a bit more conveniently positioned, and the WIFI was a little erratic at first but it did settle down.
I didn’t have much time to stay in the room and enjoy it as I was working that night and leaving first thing in the morning … which was a shame.
I ordered a sandwich (not on the menu) from room service which was excellent, and when I arrived back after the show I was working on that evening, I slept really well – bed was comfortable. Nice silky cotton sheets, fluffy towels, bath robe, etc. and quality toiletries.
The hotel parking was full but there’s a public underground facility just down the road and you can walk from the parking lot up the next street parallel to the main street and front of the hotel … and through the back gate. Really convenient when staying in the newer block at the back of the hotel.
Some of the staff were relaxed but a couple were a bit stuffy – so I feel they could do with some attitude adjustment there … but that’s a subjective thing and could have been for many reasons! They were also really slow – I had to wait around 15 minutes to get some queries answered while they checked other people in, and also the person who dealt with my query didn’t appear to have massive local knowledge!
Overall really a good experience.
I will definitely stay there again, and hopefully this time get a bit more time to enjoy the environment check out the bar and restaurant, etc.!

Within walking distance of the main square, this is a lovely hotel with tastefully done, spacious rooms. The bed was very comfortable and hi-speed wifi was excellent! Breakfast was very good and the staff were warm and hospitable.
Highly recommended.

we gave stayed in Reylof Ghent several times, and each times was always satisfying. the hall itself is aesthetically pleasing. we love the cozy reading room across the receptionist. the location is perfect, in a quiet street, just few minutes walking distance to korenmarkt, bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and tram stop is 4 minutes away. the rooms are cozy, and very clean. the staffs are friendly, service is always satisfactory, and once we got an upgrade since we stayed there quite often. this hotel offers not only luxury lodging, but also excellent facilities and service. Reylof has never failed us, we always find an extra reason just to stay at Reylof again.

Room Tip: Cozy rooms are small but it has a balcony. it is very nice during summer to sit there and have a gla...
