The hotel has a very good location with a view on the castle. Our room was small and there was incredibly hot inside the room. Although it was raining and very cold outside and we let the window open all day and all night, it was still too hot, that you couldn´t even sleep because of it. Our friends next door said exactly the same.

Well situation just round the corner from the Castle of the Counts, and a short walk from the old centre; friendly and helpful reception, clean and quiet room.

My only criticism is that the shower needed and non-slip mat and the breakfast was so expensive that it put us off and we went out for one.

I booked this hotel on-line as part of a Eurostar package for its proximity to the University, and was pleasently surprised by its excellent location near the main tourist attractions, waterways and shopping district. There are all sorts and all pricings of eatingplaces around the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms are in the main building and the annex - annex rooms are modern and there is an elevetor to th...

The location near to the Castle, square and cobbled streets with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby is great. However the staff on reception appeared disinterested and did not volunteer any information about the hotel or the area. We were not allocated a room in the main hotel, (which has the interesting facade and entrance) but in a newer build - across a yard where smokers gather. This room was basic and overlooked wasteland not the anticipated castle view. There was a comfort tray in the room but the milk was out of date. There was a tiny lounge area across from the Reception but we never saw it being used. Would put up with again for just one night because of location but would try elsewhere if planning a longer trip.

Room Tip: Try for one not in the newer block across the yard at the back

An expensive but average hotel, only good thing was the location. Stains on the floor, ripped nets on the window. Asked for breakfast when making the reservation, ended up paying richly for it...not good value for money

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in the newer part at the back. Very good accomodation for a 3 star hotel and the location majic. Certainly would stay there again. Staff were great.

Room Tip: Ask for NEW rooms in the back building

Went for four days and three nights at the Hotel. Good location, good rooms, great breakfast and looked good. Staff very helpful. Thoroughly recommend it as base. On direct tram route to Central Station (Tram 1).
