“Romantic and Peaceful with a touch of beautiful sadness.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

I personally found this tour to be the most romantic of all my travels. The peaceful boat moves along the beautiful buildings and old castles. Some of the stories of the castles are sad about torture. yet, together with the riverside performances and great people it is a lovely treat.

“GHENT”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2013

the canal trips are 40 mins and leave about every 10 mins. fascinating view of houses etc that wouldn't be seen from the road. Ghent itself is beautiful, very tranquil and easy to navigate. We found it to be nicer than Bruges, mainly because there are less crowds. The castle is worth a visit

“A lovely city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2013

Ghent is similar, although larger than Bruges. The various churches are beautiful and the views along the river at the centre outstanding. One needs to stay for several days in order to enjoy what it has to offer but even a short visit leaves one impressed by its attractions.

“Unique”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2012

There's no such thing as a free lunch. Well in Ghent we found one. A free boat trip through the Ghent harbour. Actually it's a sea harbour, because really huge ships can enter the port. Our local friends told us to make our reservation in time, and that was really necessary. The boat trip took two hours and we sat inside, very comfortable with the cold january weather outside.
