Wooow. If you're into 18th century interior design, then you should do like us. Join the tour of 2.30pm on friday or saturday, because that's the only way for individuals to get access to this and the even more magnificent and neighbouring Hotel d'Hane Steenhuyse. Both are situated in the main Ghent shopping street Veldstraat.
In the Hotel Arnold Vander Haeghen, the guide showed us the Chinese salon, the Maeterlinck Cabinet and some more rooms. The staircase was sublime.
We bought the tickets (only 5 euro for one, children don't pay) in 'Uitbureau Gent.' You can find them in the Clemmen Warehouse, Veldstraat 82b, where you also have a surprising view on a Ghent river.
