We stayed in Hostel Uppelink for one night in a private room for 2. The staff were super friendly! I wish I could remember the guy at the front desk's name because he was beyond helpful. He had the BEST recommendations for food and things to do - he knew the city extremely well. They have free wifi and breakfast. The room was clean, no frills, and comfortable. The common bathroom was very large and clean and if you need a towel you can rent one for I think 1.25 (euros). Downstairs was a very comfortable common room and a well stocked and cheap selection of Belgian beers. The building itself was old and lovely and located right across the street from a gorgeous church and just off an old cobblestone bridge. It's also located right on the edge of the historic district so you are in super easy walking distance to everything you want to see. Walking there from the train station took about 30 minutes.
