After high hopes for the 'international food street' that we read in the Use-it map of Ghent , we were disappointed to see many empty and tourist looking places(perhaps we were in the wrong area); and then we found Ramen Noedelbar! Actually I'm not sure if we saw a sign for the restaurant but we saw the steamy windows and the place full of people and decided to try. The place is tiny and you can watch them cook as well if you sit at the bar. The pho I had there was delicious if not truly authentic, but pretty impressive considering it's in Belgium! They even had momofuku-style pork buns, so good. It felt like this place could be in Williamsburg or something, very young, modern and hip, with great food as well.
