A girl friend and I chose to try Ghent for a long weekend. We hoped to find a rather more unique experience than the usual sight seeing destinations. It was an excellent choice and this restaurant was one of the most memorable parts of our trip.
I note that the reviews that came up on Trip Advisor are about Pizza, we too thought that we were about to dine in a Pizza restaurant. In fact Eat-Love have 2 restaurants and the Tastings on Onderberg is truly unique. The restaurant feels rather like a private house, the decor is smart and contemporary. We were a little nervous as there was no English translation of the menu but no problem our waiter spoke perfect English. The first clue that we were not in a pizza restaurant came when he said "I'll explain the concept".
The menu at Eat Tastings is designed for sharing we were guided in choosing a selection of starters and mains. The food was excellent, the wines likewise. After our super meal the owner came to speak to us and seemed genuinely pleased that a couple of English tourists had found and really enjoyed her restaurant. I can certainly recommend Ghent for a short break and Eat Tastings to provide the highlight of your holiday!
