in Ghent's charming Vrijdagmarkt there are lots of outdoor cafes and bars to choose from. I don't know how we landed on this one but we got lucky. After two Leffe blondes we had a delicious Flemish stewed beef with gravy dish. we both devoured this along with the tasty frites we'd come to enjoy in Belgium. The waiter was friendly and the atmosphere delightful. It wasn't that expensive either. Give it a try behind the statue of Jacob Arteveldte
