We stayed for 3 nights at end of August, we would highly recommend this hotel! The Staff (brothers) who work there couln't help you enough! Explained map of Ghent, tram stop round corner 5 mins into Ghent 1 euro 20cent I think. Main train station at bottom of street, managed to go to Brusels for day about 30 minutes away. Room well furnished, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good plenty of choice. Small bar in hotel lobby we never used, fridge in room.
Would certainly come back and lovely place to visit. Thank you!

I stayed at the Carlton Hotel from Aug.26th-Aug.31st.I found all the 3 brothers who run the hotel to be extremely helpful and friendly.Their number one priority was guest satisfaction at all times. Information about trams in Ghent was given to me on arrival and other questions I had during my stay e.g. how to reach a destination, were answered very well and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was a 4 minute walk to the Station and the tram stop was 1 minute round the corner from the hotel. The whole hotel was very clean and my room had all the amenities expected in a 3*hotel.The bed was very comfortable and reading in bed was easy with bedside lights which had 3 levels of brightness. Breakfast was of an extremely good quality and I never needed lunch during my stay. Lovely crisp, clean linen tablecloths with napkins(not paper ones) graced the tables. The selection of food was wonderful.A variety of chopped fresh fruit -nothing out of a tin- and a fruit bowl, cereals, yoghurts, including 0% fat yoghurts, salad, cheese cooked meats, a selection of bread and eggs cooked to one's requirement. Bakes beans and sausage were also available. Marmalade, jam, choolate spread, honey and chocolate vermicelli were in invididual glass pots with lids and butter was brought to the table in a porcelain pot. How refreshing not to have to mess about with the nasty plastic pots of butter and preserves which many hotels expect their guests to grapple with. The coffee was good quality and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. I have stayed in many hotels where the coffee has been diabolical and the orange juice came out of a carton and tasted dreadful. The whole breakfast experience was wonderful. My luggage was kept for me until I departed late afternoon on my day of departure. A lot of experienced hoteliers could learn a lot from these delightful 3 young brothers who have only been running this hotel since January. I hope to return to Ghent if only to stay at this hotel.

The location was central to the train station which aided in traveling. The hotel is run by 3 brother who were very helpful in giving directions, suggestions, even helping with restaurant reservations. The rooms were clean, safe, and breakfast was tasty too. This is a definite recommend if passing through Ghent.

Excellent staff who were warm and helpful. Good breakfast and nice, clean rooms. Stayed for 4 days and really enjoyed the experience. Great location near train station, but about 25-30 min walk to downtown/centrum.

We spent 6 nights in this hotel with my mum on a sightseeing trip to Belgium. I chose it because of its location very near Ghent's railway station (2-3 minutes), but it proved to be a perfect choice in every respect. The room was spacious, comfortable, well-designed, the staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful, and breakfast was delicious. It's a small hotel with only 4 rooms on each floor, in a quiet street, so we could sleep perfectly. Tram no 1 from the station takes you to the centre of Ghent easily. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

I spent one night at this hotel to attend the Ghent Jazz Festival (which is located between the hotel & the city centre). Location was perfect for my needs, while not in the city centre it is very close to the station and a short tram ride into the centre.

The rooms are clean and large and much better than I was expecting for the price. Excellent service, the brothers are very friendly and helpful and are knowledgeable about the local area. Will definitely stay here again if I am ever lucky enough to return to Ghent.

A group of friends and I stayed here during a conference in the area. It was perfect for our stay. It is a family-run hotel with easy access to the city of Gent. While not exactly central, it is a long walk, or a short tram ride right to the center of downtown. It is also very close to the main train station. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very small, with just four rooms on each floor. The rooms, however, were very large for European standards and very comfortable as well.

It was nice that they had a parking lot. However, the spaces are very small and it's just as easy to park on the street and pay the small fee. Parking in Gent is a big challenge, but it worked out find for us in this location.

If and when we go next year, we will definitely stay here again.
