Great food, lots of choice for vegetarians and not too expensive.
It does get quite busy, so best to make a reservation

Spicy Mexican chicken taco with tomato, tequila and chocolate sauce. DELICIOUS! The prices vary, but all the food is prepared very well. Service was great and very friendly. Also, the atmosphere is very warm and the traveling theme makes you want to go on vacation.

Mosquito coast is a great place to visit with friends who enjoy traveling or who enjoy world cuisine. On the menu you find dishes from Morocco, Mexico, India, Australia, etc ... Apart from that you can also order authentic and rustic flemish food.

I found the quality of the food more than okay and everyone else at the table enjoyed it as well. We were here on a sunday evening and even then it was busy so making a reservation is definately recommended.

We visited on a Sunday and were lucky enough to get a table upstairs. The food is unusual, a selection of dishes from around the world. The service was good, the waitress very friendly and smiley and the food was delicious. We were left to our own devices and not troubled but the service was still really good. The restaurant is cozy and I love the souvenirs, posters, maps, books etc that give the palce a wonderful ambience. Highly recommended

The Mosquito coast bar and restaurant is quirkily decorated with ' old colonial ' references like zebra's heads and cane armchairs and shabby-chic sofas. It works, and is a far cry from bland. It is apparently very popular with the city's many students when they want to pop champagne for a special occasion. We were unable to make a restaurant reservation on a busy Saturday night and waited 45 minutes for a table. We shouldn't have bothered. As others have noted, the good bit of this place is to be enjoyed having a drink and tapas in the ' salon'. We thought the food was overpriced. A vegetarian dish was uninspired and skimpy and the beef in my supposedly traditional Flemish stew was almost inedible it was so tough.
