I first visited this restaurant two years ago. It is centrally located in the charming area of Patershol. The wooden interior with colourful laterns and paintings might be alluring, but don't be fooled. As experienced during my two visits (no more, thanks), the service is simply poor. Expect waiting times up to one hour between different courses. The staff is anything but attentive.
The wooden chairs are slightly uncomfortable. Guests also have the options to sit on the floor on cushions. The food is ok, but nothing extraordinary that you wouldn't find in other Indian restaurants. Very limited Vegetarian options for being known as a Vege-friendly cuisine. The food is also overpriced with curries at 24,50 per person. The menu is difficult to read and requires explanation from the staff (if you are lucky enough to catch one of them).
The idea is that you try as many tastes as possible by chosing, let's say curries, which come at these eye-popping prices. But here is the trick: it was explained to us that you can't order just one portion of curry, your partner has to choose one, too, but can go for different tastes. It is absolutely confusing and restricts the guests to the few food options available.
This time, we weren't even welcomed as soon as we stepped in. The waitress seemed stressed out and asked us to choose just any table. She left the menu and didn't appear anymore for drinks or our orders. We waited 20 minutes and then left. I will certainly not give it another chance. I recommend that if you give it a try, plan plenty of time for your visit.
