“amazing b&b”
Reviewed 14 September 2013

Beautifully decorated, Sally has great taste in artwork! I loved the mosaics and freehand work on display and the decor was just amazing. We found Chynoweth to be clean, spacious and quiet, just what you want after a long day travelling. There were lots of little sachets of hot chocolate and teas, no matter what you prefer you had something lovely to welcome you back after your day out. The bathrooms were lovely and we had a choice of many channels on the TV. The beds were made up really nicely with blankets and extra pillows if you needed them. I loved the house; the garden was so nice I wish mine was like that! Breakfasts were really delicious with home made jams, home made bread and a cooked breakfast each morning. The dining area was just beautiful and wonderfully laid out. We felt we really got our moneys worth and would come back again. Thankyou Sally for a wonderful stay, 5 stars!

Room Tip: Either room is fantastic!

Chynoweth is a bit like a tardis, it looked quite small from the outside but once inside it just seemed to open up.

We had a double room with ensuite, it was very large, everything was spotlessly clean and the room very tastefully decorated. It felt very homely and cosy with lots of characterful interesting touches. The bed was the most comfortable bed in our week of one night stays in B&B's whilst walking the South West Coast Path.

Sally was a wonderful hostess, extremely laid back making us feel welcome without being overpowering. She hesitated to recommend the Red Lion pub in the village as it had recently changed ownership but we had a deliciious meal there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Breakfast was delicious, good quality cereals, fruit, yoghurt, home-made bread and preserves all temptingly laid out. We all had something different for our cooked option as Sally was very flexible about what we could choose. Breakfast was served in the kitchen/diner so we chatted with Sally as she cooked, she breezed through the cooking not missing a beat as we chatted, it was just like being at home - thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: There are 2 ensuite rooms one with a double bed and one twin so go for whichever you prefer

We arrived at Chynoweth absolutely soaked from the heavy rain through which we had been walking from the Helford River for the past 2 hours. Sally didn't bat an eyelid as she welcomed us into her immaculate home and removed our boots and other wet apparel for drying.
Our bedroom, like the whole house, was not only pristine, but also tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. The Red Lion where we took our evening meal is in the centre of the village, about 15 minutes walk away - and served the most enormous pork chops I've ever seen (for £9.50!)
This B & B is to be strongly recommended and one which we would love to return to.
Thank you, Sally.
