I booked the Trelawne Hotel after reading the reviews and this was a hotel that lived up to the reputation. Our double room was spotless with what looked like a completely refurbished bathroom, again gleaming. I booked a sea view, which also overlooked the quiet garden, and that didn't disappoint either. We had an excellent supper on our first night and breakfast each day was superb - cooked to order on hot plates by attentive staff. I will certainly like to sta here again - and will recommend it most highly.

Room Tip: Sea Views were great. I am sure the rooms overlooking the carpark area would have been quiet as well

We have just returned from 5 nights at the Trelawne, which was our first visit. Like others we booked based on Tripadvisor comments, and wondered how it would be as it is a smaller hotel then those we usually stay at. However from the welcome on arrival, to the very agreeable owners and staff, there is a nice atmosphere at the hotel. Considering we were staying at August peak time, the atmosphere was still calm and relaxed, and we were sorry to leave. The hotel and rooms are very clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. Very much a home from home (benefits of it being family owned), and of course the views out to sea are fabulous. The restaurant was very good and the menu varied each day. We enjoyed everything we had. We will be returning as soon as possible!l

Room Tip: Room 5 is worth the extra!

Booked this hotel on strength of glowing reviews. First impressions very good. Room was newly redecorated (still strong smell of paint) with lovely brand new bathroom fittings. Room quite small, but very nicely furnished.
Meals were initially very good, and the female waitresses charming and friendly. One night a young lad was on waiting duty and clearly new to the art. This combined with disappointing food and a very long wait to be called to our table (by our room number and not our name) rather dented our impression of the place. The stay for a couple with meals and a drink averaged £200/night, which is pretty pricey. Also found that a sea view room does not guarantee a sea view table in the dining room. WiFi did not seem to work in the bedroom, but did down in the bar and restaurant.
Location is very nice, but you can't access the coast path directly, you need to walk down the road either right or left out of the hotel and then down paths to reach the coast.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Trelawne hotel. We stayed in a superior room - number 10 and cannot fault it. The views are amazing, its peace and friendly, the owner and all of the staff are extremely friendly and super efficient. The breakfasts are enjoyable with plenty to eat with a large selection of items to choose from. If you want a relaxing holiday give it a go, you will definitely want to go back. We will be returning there when we can. The only downside to it is if you are at all afraid of narrow roads take care here, especially if you are returning at night, it is very narrow and the driving leaves a little to be desired, not much room for error. The only other small niggle is that I think room 10 must be underneath a family room and if there are small children occupying the room above it is very noisy when they start to run about, it did at times feel like there was a whole herd of elephants jumping on and off the beds and the ceilings did shake, this does not detract from the wonderful hotel itself. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Any room with a sea view, worth paying the extra for.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Trelawne Hotel. Excellent food, service and accommodation - the perfect place to relax. A spotlessly clean bedroom with a very comfortable bed, en-suite bathroom, lots of wardrobe space and an amazing sea view. Loved it!

Room Tip: We enjoyed room 7 - quiet, wonderful sea view and very comfortable.

We recently stayed in the Trelawne - this was our third visit. We love the relaxed atmosphere, the food and the location near the Helford River. We walked to Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens from here. We will certainly return again.
