The hotel is located near the grote market, service is very polite and efficient.
Breakfast is standard plus, the room I was in was very big and spacious and spotless, facing the street (which is quiet anyways)
Definitely will pick this hotel for my next visit

Wonderful hotel in center of Leuven, but still serene & quiet. Stunning décor & all the latest amenities. Not easy to find, but worth the effort. OK auto parking, but pricey @ 25 Euro/day. Spacious room, clean & very modern. Excellent bathroom--well lit w/ magnifying mirror. The only fault which keeps me from rating excellent is the tub, which has no shower. You have to use a spray handle, which is inconvenient & gets lots of water everywhere. I wonder if the bathroom designers ever took a shower with one of these mobile sprayers? I doubt it! Anyway, easily the best hotel in Leuven.

We booked a room in this hotel since we really wanted a nice, comfortable place to stay in the center of Leuven and according to the reviews this one ticked all the boxes. I would have liked to book one of the larger rooms or suites since it was a special occasion but they only had a basic room available for the night we wanted to go. The room was indeed very basic and rather small I thought. It was in the old part of the hotel (I think) but apart from the windows there were not many features of the old building preserved in the room anyway. The bathroom was large enough but not very practical since there was only a bath, and no shower curtain or separation screen at all, so a shower was bound to end in a flooded bathroom. It also took a very long time for the water to get warm (like 5 minuted or something). The most unpleasant surprise however came the next morning when I was literally woken up by drops of water falling on my head, coming from a leak in the ceiling. That is something I really think is unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. Off course we complained about this and spoke to the manager who explained us that it was due to heavy rain during the night and we weren't the only room affected by this. We got a reduction to the room price and payed only half price (still 100 € though). I understand that some circumstances are difficult to take into account, and it is an old building but still there is no excuse for this I think. They should really do some constructional renovation, even if that means closing the hotel for a while. Otherwise I certainly will never go back again and will advice everyone to do the same.

The hotel is in a real central position, few steps from everywhere. The location is also quite nice, in a small medieval alley, with old churches and buildings. The hotel itself is partially inside an old cloister. The rooms (I was in the modern part) are very big, with huge bathrooms. The issue I had is that the AC was not working. It was spring, so it was still okay, but being an old building it can get cold.... I wonder what happens in the winter. The shower had a nice design, but not so practical due to the lack of a door.... so it was flooding the room. The bathroom was also quite cold and not so pleasant. Another strange thing are the huge pictures of medieval women just in front if the bed, quite creepy. My colleagues told me that the rooms in the old part of the bulging were a bit worse but cozier , but I have not seen these. The hotel has a really nice breakfast, and the internal garden is just beautiful during the good season. Finally the personnel was so and so when it comes to kindness and attention. Not bad but not so welcoming either.

We got one of the older rooms in the old building, room 105. It was quite large, a corner room with 5 windows, stained glass. The room was a bit brown and masculine, my husband loved it. It really needed a few frills and luxuries, a picture on the wall, a splash of colour.

It's great to have a kettle, but there was no milk, and the teaspoons were plastic. The mini bar was limited and expensive, everything was 3 euros, The lighting was pretty dim, which is OK, but you need somewhere to do your make-up. Furniture was solid, but is showing signs of wear. There was ample storage space and lots of hangers, but they were those awful anti-theft ones.

The TV was good, having BBC 1 and 2, ITV 1,2 and 4 and sports channels too . The bathroom was spacious and modern, the shower(over the bath) power was poor and once the bottom got soap on it, it was incredibly, dangerously slippy.

The view from the room was of the courtyard, which was really pleasant, people play games and sit out there, I would imagine the views of the street would be limited in appeal. There was a chair but nothing comfy, we asked for an armchair and were given a bar stool! The Wi-Fi is free and good.

The bar is beautiful, but for some reason was lacking in atmosphere, service throughout the hotel is good. There are ridiculous supplements for room service 15euros for breakfast, 25 euros for dinner and 5 euros for a drink.

Car parking is expensive 25 euros and you can't reserve spaces, but the garage is spacious and we didn't have any problems even with our 4x4 BMW.

All the modern parts have been beautifully done, the rooms look as if they would be great. Other rooms in the old section on the !st floor are; 109 very large 5 windows, 107 large wth 3 windows, 115 is a good size. Second floor rooms have slightly smaller windows.

To get into town quickly turn left from the front door, it is less than a 5 minute walk to bars and shops.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms are the only ones with views, 105 is a corner in old part, 109 is alarge courtyard r...

My husband and I stayed here in May for 4 nights and were very pleased with everything. It is in a very quiet neighborhood yet close to all of the action in Leuven. I especially loved the original old architecture and windows!
Bed was comfortable, good water pressure, free wi-fi, and breakfast available to purchase in the lobby area.

Within a minutes' walk from the lovely centre of Leuven is a very nice spot of comfort and quiet. Staff is very professional en helpful, en the old and new buildings that enclose the spacious lawn fit very well together. Our room (in the old building, under a slanted roof) was smaller than we expected, but the overall atmosphere of the hotel and the attention for detail made up for that.

Room Tip: Stay clear from the upper floor of the old building.
