We went there for our birthday dinner. We chose for a menu with 3 courses. On a big plus point: there is no problem with vegetarian dishes - the cook prepares something on the spot with the ingredients they use for other dishes. The veggie things I got were excellent - very tasty, with fresh, top-quality products, interesting (often not the case with vegetarian food in restaurants...). My husband's food was also very good - although he was less enthusiastic than I was.
Unfortunately, the food was the only good thing. The service was terrible. There were many long moments when we were sitting at a completely empty table - no bread (during the whole meal we got both two small pieces of bread each...), no wine, no water, no waiter to order anything... It seemed like more guests has the same problem. Another thing: long waiting for the courses. For the 3-course dinner we needed three hours! In this - more than an hour waiting for the dessert - which was not that complicated to make (figs with ice cream, come on...). Finally: ridiculously expensive drinks. My husband went for the wine option with his menu. For 20 euro he got one glass of white wine (with the starter), one glass of red wine (with the main) and 0,5 l of water. That's it. In the menu it was not specified that the wine option is one glass per course - and I do think that they actually did not serve one glass (since the wine option for a 2-course was cheaper) or it is a total robbery...
All in all - the food was good but we will not go there again before we've heard that the service has improved. There are more good places in Leuven with equally good food - and very often less money (definitely for drinks...).
