“A snack or a meal, anything goes.”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

It doesn't matter if you're a backpacking tourist or looking for a affordable meal, this place has something for both.
Weather is good and you just want a snack? Choose one of the three different sizes of cups of pasta with a sauce of own taste and enjoy your food outside. Raining? No problem, you can enjoy your cup of pasta upstairs in a dry en warm place.
You want to have a meal sitting down and not eating from a cup? Downstairs there are some places where you can sit to order.
In both ways you can order vegetarian food, in that way the vegetarians are certainly not forgotten and that is always a plus !
And when the weather is good, there are spots outside too.
Only during the school periods it can be really busy around noon and that's not what a tourist is looking for... So when in Bruges during school seasons, maybe better to wait a little until the kids are back in class.
The staff is friendly, give good explanation when asked for.
And with the prices in a really affordable range, a much better option then what's to be paid a few meters (market) further...

“A satisfying inexpensive meal, perfect for a backpackers budget.”
Reviewed 10 June 2014 via mobile

There's no doubt that Bruges cuisine airs on the expensive side. So as a young traveller there's nothing better than a delicious, cheap spot to fuel you.
That's this place. Pasta comes with a variety of sauces and in three sizes, mini, medium, and maxi. Even a mini is hearty and costs 3 euros. Other food is available too, such as lasagne and sandwiches. Located right off a smaller street off the market, there's no need to pass up this place if you're hungry.

“Good food”
Reviewed 27 May 2014 via mobile

Stopped here with two hungry children. Staff helpful. Sat outside so had takeaway prices but they still provided a high chair. Had a proschitto pizza for €7-decent size, shared between us. Ordered a maxi box of pasta for about €5. They do these in three sizes and they come in cardboard boxes. The mini one is €3 and is about the right size for one person. We got the biggest to share between the children. Fusili pasta with bolognaise and it was delicious! We all shared this too!

We sat outside, next to the main square, eating very well for a reasonable amount. There were very clean toilets upstairs (steep stairs). Would eat here again.

“Small prices and good pasta!”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

I and my wife came into this tiny restaurant by chance. Actually, after our visit to Groening Museum we realized it was late and could not find any restaurant which could accommodate us. Normally we are not so fond of italian food abroad, but we a friend of told us of a place where we could eat decently any time. Well, we found it but the owner was very rude and unpolite in rejecting us. I don't want to tell which is this Restaurant, but just outside of it, we pointed to Pasta Presto, luckily. We are italian so we are quite expert about pasta and pizza. Well, at Pasta Presto the pasta is really tasteful, not at all overcooked (which is rare everywhere outside Italy) and the pizza is more than adequate. Then talking about the service, you can not of course expect silver cuttery and linen tablecloth,; you can choose to seat inside, where you'll be served or take your place outside and take your pasta (or pizza..) with you. All the staff is very friendly and more than willing to do its best to help you. While being sitting at the table outside, I just had to turn my sight on the right to have a perspective of the Markt place. Strangely, although it was no luxury restaurant, it was a pleasure to be there. The price are tiny, and the value for money is high. By the way, we went there the next day too....

“Clean, very good food and very good value”
Reviewed 21 February 2014

Just walking through the square, stumbled upon this place completely by chance. Saw a lot of youngsters who looked like students queuing up for food when the other nearby places were empty at peak lunch time. Had to be something special here - as we all know, students are the best detectives when it comes to budget eating places. We (family of 4 including a 5 and a 7 year old) were met by a delightful waiter who actually helped us decide (which is rare now-a-days) what to order. The portions were enormous and delicious. Both the pasta and the pizza we had were excellent, not to mention the super chilled Belgian beer I had. About the price, something to ponder.......it is excellent value if you take your food in the take-away box to the 1st floor seating area, but I think we ended up paying twice as much because we took the ground floor seating area and were served by real people, which is fair enough. Still, I would say it was less expensive compared to other places. The ultimate selling point for us was the quick service.
