“Just Fabulous”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2009

We had the second floor large room with a very nic view of the church and local neighborhood. The only drawback is the steep staircase, so someone who is really vertically challenged might have a bit of a problem with the 24 steps.

This is a very large room witn a great king/queen bed ( we can't decide which) and a mattress to equal any five-star hotel.

The village gets up late, so there is very little traffic noise until 10 or so in the morning, and then it is only an occasional car. Breakfast will be outside your door in the morning and is an excellant example of Belgian delights.

Convenient to downtown - about a six block walk, off street parking is available for a fee ( less than half of what we paid in Amsterdam), and Benny is a charm to work with.

Right around the corner is a fabulous restaurant, Oud Handbogenof open in the evenings.

REerve with confidence and enjoy! NO TOUR busses are allowed in city central, so it is a fabulous place to visit without all the masses when a bus affives.

After reading the positive reviews for B&B Bariseele, I booked one of the apartments for 4 nights for my birthday. Benny was quick to respond to my e-mail and extremely friendly and helpful. Upon arrival Benny gave us loads of helpful information and tips on what to see and do in Brugge. He then showed us to our apartment... we chose the one on the top floor. It was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed including a mini bar and snacks if we got peckish. I took my own travel hairdryer with me but I needn't have done as there was one in the room which was better than my own! The towels were changed daily if we wished and the breakfast was fantastic. There was so much choice such as pancakes, fruit, bread, eggs, yoghurt, muesli...we often could not finish everything!
As for the location of the B&B... it is only a ten minute walk into the market square and it is a very pleasant walk indeed. My boyfriend and I thought it was a perfect location as it was very quiet and peaceful at night time and next to a lovely church.
I thoroughly recommend this place - thanks to Benny for being a lovely host!

We discovered Bariseele/Fevery from the reviews on Trip Advisor and were so impressed that we return every year.

The location is fantastic – very peaceful and a lovely stroll alongside canals to the Market Square.

We usually stay in the first floor apartment in Bariseele which is bright, welcoming, spacious and very nicely furnished and where we now feel totally at home.

We always look forward to seeing Benny and Paul who are great hosts and welcome us with a smile and a beer – perfect after a long train journey.

Benny delivers breakfast to us each morning – it’s always fresh, tasty and a good variety – a very nice start to the day.

Benny and Paul are very helpful with recommendations and local knowledge and are always happy to look up anything further. There is also a lot of information in the apartment on museums, restaurants etc. to help you make the most of your time in Bruges.

Bruges is a beautiful city and we always have a lovely time. This is especially due to the wonderful hospitality at Bariseele/Fevery. Thank you Benny and Paul, and we look forward to seeing you the next time.

This was our third trip to Bruges. We booked the holiday apartment at Bariseele based upon earlier reviews and could not have been more pleased with the friendliness and service provided and the cleanliness (and spaciousness) of the room. We stayed four nights and each time we returned to the apartment we commented on how amazing it was to find such a wonderful value and home away from home. We will be highly recommending both Bariseele and the adjoining Hotel Fevery (with the helpful proprietors) to our family and friends and look forward to a future visit.

My wife and I have just visited the Bariseele Apartments for the first time and can recommend them totally. With us was my partially disabled mother who was allocated the ground floor apartment. We had the one on the first floor. Both were very clean, spacious and ideal for what we needed. Breakfast (which was very good) was served by Benny (the owner) in the ground floor room so that we could all eat together.

Benny was very helpful from the time we arrived until we left helping us with our luggage to and from the car and also helping my mother into the apartments if needed. Benny provided us with a vast amount of local information including restaurants.

The apartments are no more than an easy ten minute walk from the main area of Brugge and in a quiet location

We would readily visit this accommodation again.

Stayed here for the final part of our honeymoon and it was the best part!! Contacted benny who runs the B&B before our stay about flowers in our room and when we arrived there was a giant bouquet of white roses and from that moment on we had a wonderful time. Room was massive size with dining room table and sofa and had a very nice cozy continental feel. Very reasonable mini bar in the small kitchen and all rooms we're spotless.
Benny met us downstairs and gave us a lovely bottle of wine and recomended places for us to eat, if you stay here Toms Diner was the best we found for the money(English menu too!!) and if you fancy a drink track down the Brown bear really helpful staff will help you make your choice from a massive selection of Belgium beers. The location of this B&B is great too close enough to the centre to just pop back but far enough away to be nice and quiet, apart from the bells from the church next door!! If your thinking of staying in Bruges look no further we were made to feel like guests in his house and he even waved us off with a couple bottles of local beer.

We had a superb stay in Bruges, not only thanks to the beautiful weather (20+ degrees Celcius) but especially because of the excellent B&B Bariseele and its host Benny, who made our stay a true pleasure. Our room (on the 2nd floor) was spacious, comfortable and clean and breakfast was very nice. In addition, upon arrival, Benny took some time to show us the city map of Bruges, pointed out the main hotspots and recommended some nice bars/restaurants that were not too crowded with tourists. He also made sure a personal mail was sent before the trip to confirm the reservation (very thoughtful) and also afterwards as a means of "thankyou". The B&B is just a 10' walk away from the Marketplace and located in a very quiet street. I'd definitely recommend a stay and will obviously return whenever I'm planning a next trip to Bruges!
