This was by the far one of the most convenient, friendly ande charming hotels we have stayed in by far.
You do search and yet there is no reassurance that where youre going is what it says it will deliver. My wife deceided to book a small break away and traveled by train as she is now 6 ½ month pregnant. Our main concern that once there it may have been difficult to travel around. Staying at Livias afforded us a delightfull stay with outstanding breakfast – home from home. The convenience of being able to walk into town within 5 minutes ( slow walk at that ) and be within the thick of the dense population of excellant restaurants and bars was a gift. So much so it allowed us to sometime just nip back for a small break before heading back out.

Why Livias?
• If you want excellant personal service
• A personal organiser who knows everyone and will book you into the most exclusive restaurants at short notice
• Who provides a professional but yet balanced sense of home at the same time
• Wonderfull decor, convenient, historic, relaxing place to stay
• Well priced – great value
These are but a few reasons why you would want to book. If you want a gentle weekend break or indeed a base to drive to the Ostend coast if staying in belgium for a while - this is where I would recommend in a heart beat.

Really lovely welcome from Livia and a lovely Belgian breakfast - the perfect start to the day after a night in the very spacious Belle Epoque suite.

She was so helpful with hints and tips about the city and there can't be anywhere more convenient for everything you could want in the area.

My only problem is that it was a little expensive - but for a Valentine's weekend away, what more can you ask!!

The host and the surroundings made my birthday weekend a great one to remember. Would certainly stay there again and would always tell friends and family to stay with her. Brilliant location, lovely ornate rooms and good sizes and bring your appetite for brekkie!

Need I say more! Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Livia's beautiful boutique hotel for one night, in the Belle Epoque Suite, but wished we had booked for much longer. Livia is a very accommodating host, she cooks a wonderful breakfast, with eggs from her own chickens, fresh home baked bread and lots lots more. When we asked if Livia knew of any nice restaurants, she recommended an amazing morrocan/indian fusion restaurant-a must try! It was a 2 minute walk from the hotel, had a cosy atmosphere and was good value for money. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the canals and the main square, on a quiet side street in a safe area, and about 5 minutes by taxi from the train station. Our room was exactly as described on Livias website-(www.liviasbedbreakfast.be) with really high ceilings, rich antique decor and a huge roll-top bath-perfect for a romantic stay. The whole house is incredibly stylish and elegent, completely faultless. If you want a piece of luxury in the very heart of Bruges then this is definately the place for you! ...needless to say we have already started recommending Livia's to family and friend and will definately be returning!

We received such a warm welcome from Livia and were made to feel right at home from the outset. The B&B is decorated with immaculate taste and forms the perfect base for exploring what is a wonderful city. The hospitality was second to none and the breakfasts were fantastic, including eggs from Livia's own chickens! I cannot recommend this beautiful establishment highly enough.
