Welcoming from the start, Junko and Pierre give a locals perspective with the benefit of a travel guides knowledge base. They made us amazing restaurant recommendations and helped us overcome the language barrier to get reservations. Breakfast and service quality are top notch. Safe parking lot only 30 yards away! Lots of interesting design touches and beds very comfortable. Huge breakfast very varied and featuring local treats which allows you to skip lunch if you choose. Within 3min walk and you have the best of everything bruge has to offer. Best beer, cheese, chocolate shops are close by and numerous pubs and restaurants. Strongly recommend not staying in a hotel and choosing Double Door instead like we did!

Room Tip: If you don't like stairs try to book on the first floor.

Beautiful B&B. Seriously top-notch! Couldn't fault anything with our stay. The hosts Junko and Pierre are extremely friendly and accommodating - their knowledge of the area and recommendations were excellent. The house and room are spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was vast! A number of different varieties of fresh breads, cheeses, cold meats, croissants, pastries, home-made cakes, fruit, cereal and even cooked-to-order bacon and eggs! Location was perfect. We wouldn't even look at any others if booking again...thank-you so much for our stay!

Junko and Pierre are the loveliest hosts you can get! They will do all they can to make sure you have an unforgettable stay. The breakfast is A' star! The room on the second floor is nice looking with a romantic touch, especially the bed. There is no particular view out the window it really doesn't mind. The bathroom is clean and offers all possible amenities. The staircase to the second floor is really steep, but you can't care less, because Junko is really thoughtful and carries all the luggage upstairs!

One more thing... It is so close to the center of the city - walking distance - that you can really go back to the room anytime you like.

What makes Double Door B&B so special is the hosts - Pierre and Junko. From the moment you arrive you immediately feel welcome and at home.

Pierre and Junko are happy to explain the history of Bruges to interested visitors, as well as recommend many good sites, chocolate shops and restaurants. Their recommendations never failed to disappoint.

The location is ideal, off the main roads and right in the city centre next to the main attractions - Belfry Tower, Church of our Lady, the canal boat tour stops and more.

The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean and featured branded toileteries and complimentary bottled water. There is even a small secluded courtyard where you can sit and eat/drink if the weather is nice.

The icing on the cake would have to be the breakfast - Junko goes out of her way to provide a plentiful feast, with homemade cakes, freshly baked pastries, cooked breakfast and cheeses, meats and breads to choose from, as well as a fresh fruit salad, freshly brewed tea and coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice...you get the picture!

An excellent long weekend in a charming B&B. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Double Door B&B to friends, family and colleagues.

Double Door certainly I would highly recommend to all my friends and family to stay in Bruges. Rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. Has all the facilities a 4* hotel has to offer and more. Breakfast is something to look forward to in the morning, Only 3 minutes walk from the centre. We spent a long weekend in Bruges (first visit) arriving via Train. We decided to walk from the station as it was a nice day and we wanted to see as much as possible. It's only a short ten to fifteen minute stroll across cobbled streets which was fine as we didn't have much luggage.
On arriving at Double Door we were warmly greeted by Pierre and Junko including a nice Belgian Beer and chocolates! Pierre gave us a short history on Bruges along with providing maps, a guide book and many recommendations for our stay (best restaurants, best times to visit certain sights, best place to catch the boats from etc.). These proved invaluable and we really liked the Cafe Mojo recommendation. Book or arrive early.  The same applies to Cambrinus which was unfortunately already full at 6pm! Location wise, the Double Door is perfectly situated for accessing all of Bruges, just a couple of minutes walk from the canals and main sights.
The room was well furnished, very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great especially the fresh fruit, and Junko's pancakes. Enough to feed a small army.
Pierre and Junko take great pride in their B&B, are very thoughtful and considerate hosts and make the experience truly enjoyable. We had a great stay and would highly recommend the Double Door.
