“Plain lunch food as you can expect in a supermarket or next to a highway”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2013

Plain lunch food, nothing much to say about it. The food you can expect in a highway or supermarket restaurant. My husband was a bit sick once of the peasoup and since then we didn't ate here anymore.

“Coffee & Pie for 1 euro!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2013

Cup of coffee & choice of pie for 1 euro after 4 pm.
Good coffee. Good chocolate pie. Cheap!
Go early, gets busy.

“Don't bother, you get what you pay for.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2013

I was intrigued by the 1 euro breakfast. The 1 euro breakfast includes a croissant, a roll with a cold egg, and a thin slice of ham, jam and coffee. Add anything additional and it will increase your cost. We both bought a bargain breakfast plus a small glass of orange juice. My brother’s juice glass was cracked; my juice glass had chips around the rim. The croissant was good and the only thing I could eat. Everything else was trashed. Spend more and find a better place to eat!

“Super little find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2013

Our guide recommended this to us. It's on the first floor and is clean, bright, and the food is good. We had a cake and coffee combo for 3.00 euro, and a delicious roll for 3.50 euro. Sometimes what you want is just plain good-value self-service food and drink. Well worth a visit for a cheap snack. I also bought some HEMA body lotion there for 1.95 euro and it is excellent. Staff are pleasant enough.

“Best solution for budget food in a touristy town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2013

Hema is a department store found in many Belgian towns. They have busy cafes serving economical hot dishes and a wide range of other food. They are popular with locals - a good sign of their decent prices. A meal for two was under 15 euros and the staff were really lovely and helpful in the Bruge store.
