“Amazing value, great breakfast options!”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

We spent as much here on two full breakfasts as we did on a simple glass of wine at a restaurant on the plaza. We highly recommend it as breakfast is hard to find, and almost nothing in Brugge is inexpensive!

“Hema lunch”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

Very busy on a Saturday lunchtime but still able to get a table. A lot of the deals are not applicable at lunchtime but still cheap fooled & drink. €0.30 for the loo's but ladies be prepared for a wait, gents beware at busy times ladies may be using the cubicle, however they were vey clean. The store it's self has been described as similar to IKEA, more the home ware than furniture though. Great for Belgium chocolate at Christmas time. Overall a good experience.

“Good place for lunch”
Reviewed 30 November 2013

This is a good place to enjoy a light lunch...baguettes, soup, lasagnes etc. There are a small selection of cakes and nice tea and coffee. It is all very reasonably priced. There is also a useful loo (30 cents)

“Useful address in Bruges”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

In the thick of the pricey restaurants around Bruges, it's good to know about this cafeteria-style café upstairs from the HEMA department store (kind of smaller, Belgian Ikea). We went several times, mainly for sandwiches. The fresh mozzarella one on a long, dark brown roll was nice, with some sliced tomatoes and basil.

They don't have an extensive menu, and the service is at the counter, Toilet entry costs €0.30. All in all, it's still worthwhile to stop in for a basic lunch, which the three of us could have, including a couple of drinks, for around €12, or the breakfast specials for only €1, and the view from a window table down to the busy street below is pretty good for people-watching. If you're fed up of touristy eating spots, HEMA isn't touristy!

“They have a loo !”
Reviewed 2 November 2013 via mobile

If you're walking around site seeing in Bruges you eventually need a loo ! And unlike department stores , shopping centres or places like McDonald's in the UK there's no public loos I've ever seen do you need to have a coffee or beer in a cafe then use the loo - that's fine but it's not always the right time of day

There Ikea like discount store has an extensive cafe which served a broad range of meals and drinks. We had 2 perfectly good coffees and cakes each for €8.25 which is probably less than half that of most Bruges cafes - ok there's no market square view but we just wanted a break from shopping in the adjacent street which is full of ladies clothes shops.

Oh there's a loo here . €0.30 but clean.

Not a bad place for a good value snack / drink.
