Owner description: The historic center of Bruges has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000 thanks to its status as one of the commercial and cultural capitals of Europe and its enduring Gothic architecture. The Belgian city center is cited as a great example of a medieval historic settlement, even while it has evolved over the years.

“Allow yourself three days to see the sights”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2013

A lovely historical city. Clearly marked and ideal for walking around. A Hop on/off bus would be a useful addition. The 50 minute City Bus tour is good as is the 35 minute boat trip. Chocolate shops everywhere, as well as huge varieties of beer. So be warned.

“Good example of an old Belgium town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 September 2013

The shops were great - lace, beer, food, atmosphere, architecture, chocolate, history, and friendly folks. Lots of folks just walking/looking around. Don't miss the bus tour of the city, pickup in the town square - many languages via earphones on prerecorded media and driver stopped at each place for photos.

“Nice but expensive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 September 2013

A fantastic place to visit, especially if you like old buildings and history, but beware, it is a tourist trap and the prices reflect that in the square. Expect about £14 for a Gin and Tonic and £20 of a Snack/meal. It soon adds up

“Great time”

We were part of a large group visiting Brugge and we decided to hire bikes to see the city, we had the best time. It was great fun and we got to see so much. Biking around Brugge is highly recommended
