Owner description: The historic center of Bruges has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000 thanks to its status as one of the commercial and cultural capitals of Europe and its enduring Gothic architecture. The Belgian city center is cited as a great example of a medieval historic settlement, even while it has evolved over the years.

Beautiful architecture, museums, churches, squares, restaurants. Great atmosphere for people watching. horses and buggies do the circuit, bikes, cars, motorbikes and pedestrians share the cobblestones

lots to see and easy access as it is a small city. the canal boat trip is good but gets very busy. Just wandering around is good.

The World Cup Soccer games were played that night...large screens showed the match between Belgium and Algeria in the square...really fun to be a part of the excitement. We wished we had more time to explore!

It was beautiful and easy to find. Everyone travelled on by circles as there weren't that many parking spots close (but there were underground parking areas situated all round the city)

The centre of Brugge is a beautiful large square, living under the shadow of the Belfrey of Brugge. The Square is home to a few museums and you can go on a horse and carriage ride from here. There are a lot of restaurants in the square, though there is generally better value to be had elsewhere in the city. For more on Belgium, check out www.sightguides.com
