“Excellent holiday in Bruges!”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

My husband, cousin, and I just returned from five nights at B & B Brughia. The lovely owners, Arnout and Bieke, are very hospitable and friendly. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the beds were great after all the walking we did during the day. Breakfast each morning was incredible! From the friendly conversations between guest to the food that was served each day. My husband, along with everyone, enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice each morning. The proximity to the Markt Centre was great and an enjoyable walk. Thank you for making our first trip to Bruges a memorable experience.

This was a great find! Stayed two nights recently, and was not disappointed.
The owner was lovely and very welcoming, and it's obvious she really cares about making your stay a good one. She was very helpful, and happy to give recommendations to new visitors to Bruges.
The house was clean and with homely decor; we particularly liked the interesting photography. The room was cosy, with a comfy bed and a nice hot shower. Only comment for improvement- it would have been nice to have tea/coffee in the room for when you first wake up. But we had a great nights sleep, in a quiet location.
The breakfast was lovely. Tasty fresh bread and pastries bought each morning, with continental meats and cheese, and a perfectly cooked egg! Great choice of speciality teas, fresh coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.
We'd definitely stay again.

a warm welcome in a cosy, homely atmosphere, a delicious breakfast (with fresh orange juice) and owners who are really involved in running this place as a real B&B rather than a hotel, makes one feel very happy when staying in this beautiful place

I was there in summer with the Family. Fantastic room. The city center is ten minutes walking . For the car the parking place "centrum 't Zand" is very near. Nice Breakfast, is an occasion to talk with guests from all over the world (so correctly speaking english/spanish could be helpful :-))

We couldn't fault this B and B. I got my arrival times wrong and had to let them know quite late on friday that we wouldn't be arriving until after midnight - they had to stay up to let us in but they didn't complain ( even though they had asked if we could let them know the arrival time in advance so it was probably quite annoying). Our room was beautifully decorated and the breakfast was great- just enough food to set us up for the day and it was nice that it's a big table so you can chat to the other guests. We slept in on sunday but Bieke & Arnout insisted that we stayed and had breakfast anyway. They were so friendly and hospitable - we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bruges. Thoroughly recommended

we stayed here with friends for 2 nights. The b & b was very nice and the owners were very friendly. We had a room on the front with 2 double beds which was great as we had our 14 year old son with us, so it was nice for him to have a big bed. It was slightly noisy on the front with cars and a lorry turning up early and revellers passing by but the room was very nice and the bed comfortable. The only thing I would say was that there was no heating in the bathroom which made that room quite chilly. Our friends had a room at the back with a large double bed and a put up bed for their 10 year old. This room was very nicely done. Again the only point I would say is that the shower was in the main bedroom which could be awkward if you are sharing with a child as there is no privacy when getting in and out or indeed being in the shower! .The breakfast was plentiful , a lovely breakfast room and a choice of rolls, yogurts , croissants , meats and cheeses. You are also offered boiled or scrambled egg which was very nice. We also had a lovely chat with our hosts and fellow B & B guests. The B & B is very central so not far to the main square and restaurants. There is no parking outside but it is very near to an underground car park which cost 9 euros a day which we thought was very reasonable.
We would quite happily stay here again. Thank you for a great stay.

Room Tip: May be better to get a back room if you are a light sleeper.
