We stayed here for three nights in early July 2012 and had an amazing time!
Accommodations: We had a King Executive Room with breakfast: Room rich colors, great fabric, very comfortable bed!, bathroom was clean and L’Occitane products are always a plus.
Food: We had the continental breakfast included in our rate and it was COMPLETELY worth it! The atmosphere was bright and in a dining room with minimal service. The buffet food selection was one of the largest European style breakfasts we have ever seen. They have hot foods: eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes; cold foods: pate, cheeses, sliced meats, breads, yogurts, cut veggies, breads, pastries. Very impressed!
Service: Excellent! I know the hospitality industry well and all of their staff was helpful, friendly and professional. The night guy was amazing especially when my husband fell on the cobblestone in the pouring rain after a night of drinking Belgium Beer and cut open his elbow. He helped us stop the bleeding as well as called us a cab and we were at the Emergency Room within 15 minutes getting stiches.
Location: Great! It was fun driving into the city and passing through a small gate and then entering onto a narrow cobblestone street. Very historic building right in the center of town a few blocks from all of the shopping, dining and squares.
Spa: There spa was under construction due to a pipe burst but they have a sister hotel right down the block with a very similar set up. It was small but had almost everything you needed. The sauna and steam area was very nice and peaceful. The work out area only had a treadmill and elliptical machine, no weights, but at least we got cardio in.
Parking: Parking was very tight!! Even if you are used to European style parking garages, this is still a very tight setup. They do have a small lift and just turning into the lift off of the street was difficult in a 330 Mercedes. But the hotel does have parking in a small historic city so you can’t really complain.
Thank you we had an amazing time in Bruges and will be back!
