A very good base for a visit to Bruges. Includes the very useful advantage of having an underground garage. Book in advance as spaces are limited. Very nice bar area. Good breakfast generally, but as a vegetarian the hot counter choice was eggs or eggs. Good wi-fi.

We spent a night here at the end of August. We had a suite in the main hotel block. We had per-arranged parking at the hotel underneath the building, which is accessed around the side of the hotel and you go down in the vehicle in a lift. Parking was needed as the hotel is just off the main square and is centrally located to walk to all the sights. Everything had a luxury feel, other than the beds, which were too soft. Twins pushed together worked well for us. Large marble bathroom with separate shower was good. Service was efficient. The buffet breakfast was excellent, choice of cereals, fruit and cold meats, with also the hot breakfast items.

We stayed in this hotel in early Sept 2012 and were highly impressed by its elegance - classical but modern. High ceilngs, spacious room and bathroom, high quality materials and great location. Service was reasonably good (no bellboys though and a trainee left alone sometimes at night). We were disappointed with the beds which were not firm - maybe this is common in Europe as our hotel in Rotterdam the previous night had similar (twin size) beds. Breakfast is served in a pleasant location and has most of the basics, but the sliced fruit did not taste fresh, and there were only two types of cereal and juice - and no pancakes or waffles which we thought a Belgium hotel would have. We compared this to our hotel in Amsterdam which had a better range and quality of options. Wi fi was generally good but somewhat spotty. One of us had a massage which was convenient but we recommend checking ahead of time whether the type of massage is suitable for your needs. Overall a beautiful and pleasant hotel.

Grand Hotel Casselbergh is well located and a lovely representative of Bruges Hotels. We had a corner room with a terrific view of the tower. The room was well designed with a terrific marble bathroom including shower and bathtub. FYI, our room was a ‘double’ bed but was actually two twins pulled together; this is not that unusual for Europe.
Hotel staff were helpful and efficient.
We generally don’t partake of hotel breakfast because we eat fairly light breakfast, but the one included in the price of our room had wide variety of options if that matters to you. (The coffee was excellent and they even made decaf at the table for of us.)
The lobby has a ‘library’ feeling bar; excellent for a late night drink.
The gym was small and serviceable, but a bit under ventilated and hot, so be forewarned.
All in all, we would be very happy to stay there again.

We stayed here for 2 nights in December 2011. This hotel is fantastic and luxurious! There really was nothing I could fault.

We arrived in Bruges around 10am and headed straight to the hotel. Although we could not check in the hotel stored our bags so we could make the most of exploring this picturesque town. When we checked in later that night our room was fab – spacious, clean, decorated to the highest standard – and very classy. We did not have breakfast so I cannot comment on the food quality, however I would definitely recommend!! Location is great for exploring Bruges.

We stayed here 1 night en route from Mastricht to Amsterdam and booked through Expedia, getting a very good rate the day of arrival. Parking is available in hotel's underground garage, accessible by car elevator in a lane adjoining the hotel property. The room was stunning with a huge chandelier over the bed and sumptuously appointments. Bathroom good with separate tub and shower. The lobby bar/lounge is like being on the set of Downton Abbey or some such place - what grandeur! The breakfast (included) in the basement breakfast room was plentiful, varied and of good quality. Would definately return. Checkin process was somewhat slow as it seems there was only 1 person on the desk at the time when several guests arrived.
