We chose this hotel for it's central location, good reviews and car parking option. All three worked well. We were on a Winter in Bruges package that included a room in the new part of the hotel, breakfast, a glass of Cava each and Belgian chocolates. Good value, though like everything in Bruges, not cheap. Drinks in the bar a bit pricey (around 9€ for a cocktail) but with such sumptuous surroundings you get what you pay for. Service in bar and breakfast room was friendly and efficient.
Our room was large and very comfortable. The view was just of the rooms opposite, but in the depths of a freezing March, a view of the canal probably would't have cheered us.
The hotel has no restaurant but there are literally dozens within 5 minutes walk.(Do some Tripadvisor research though, we had a good meal and a poor one (see reviews)
Bruges is extremely picturesque, safe and friendly. It's also bigger than you might think, with quite sophisticated big name shopping as well as the lace and chocolate overdose.
Think London prices and you'll get the picture for dining. We had a main course each, a bottle of wine and one small beer..not much change from 80€
If we return, highly likely, we would consider this hotel again for it's great location and good serviceMore
