Wow! This place is where you want to stay! The interior and exterior are absolutely immaculate and the staff are very welcoming and friendly, the design of the exterior will give you a cricked neck, but well worth looking around, even a small room that I stayed in left me beaming from cheek to cheek. I would go again tomorrow and definitely plan to visit again one day, if there is a better hotel in all of Bruges I would LOVE to know where!

See you again someday, Casselbergh!

The Casselbergh is a very nice hotel, definitely worth trying. The location is amazing, very central in Bruges yet quiet, and nearly everything is within a 5-10 minute walking radius. We enjoyed our stay very much, would go back.

You could not be better positioned its ideal and just a short walk to the square. Hotel itself is good - rooms clean, staff friendly, service is slow but that doesn't adversely affect your stay rated at 4stars and I'd say 3.5 out of 5 for hotel and 6 out of 5 for location

We stayed at the Casselburgh in Feb 2014 as part of a Secret Escapes deal for 2 nights. Travelled in on the Eurostar from Kent. This hotel is lovely. Only rated a 4 star but I felt it could have made 5 quite easily. The staff are exceptional - helpful, attentive, polite - they helped us with restaurant reservations (one before we arrived over email, even then incredibly helpful) and also bike hire and taxi bookings during our stay. I genuinely can't fault the hotel - the rooms were very, very spacious and very well appointed - lots of little touches that perhaps one would take for granted! Full walk in shower, large bath with another shower, tea and coffee making facilities, L'Octaine bathing goodies, plenty of hanging space, 2 large chairs (as well as desk/chair) for taking a drink in the evening. We had a champagne breakfast on both days with an excellent selection at breakfast; cooked goods or fresh fruits and pastries etc. We didn't use the evening bar as we were out and about alot but taking a peak, there were lots of lovely seating areas, large chairs and places to relax and enjoy a pre dinner drink. This hotel is a lovely/luxury base for a trip to Bruges - we would use this one again.

Room Tip: Request a room in the old part of the building for a large spacious room, high ceilings and a grand...

The rooms are good very clean very quit the staff do the best they can to make your stay enjoyable but no smiles bring your own wine in for a drink,as they charge a small fortune for a average bottle of wine but overall I would return hear, one last point try to fine a cheaper car parking if you drive they changed us €25 a day

This hotel is in a great position in the centre of Bruges, everything is within a reasonable walking distance. It is a very Grand looking hotel, with an impressive entrance, reception area and bar. The reception staff are lack lustre, but the bar staff where very attentive and efficient.
I would imagine the rooms in the old part of the hotel are lovely, sadly they have built a monstrosity on the back of hotel where the majority of the rooms are, they are reached by dull corridors, the type you would expect in an airport hotel, the rooms in this part are clean and functional, nothing more. One real negative for me was that you could not open a window. We paid for a room with a view, this was in fact the car park of the restaurant at the rear, and the canal, had I known I wouldn't of bothered. We did try to get a room in the old part but was met with a blank look of disinterest by the receptionist.
The breakfast was OK, I can't honestly say it was anything special, but the staff were very pleasant. There is not a restaurant in the hotel, in itself not an issue as there are lots of lovely restaurants nearby, but given that it was very cold whilst we were therein would have been nice to have a choice to stay in the warm!
Overall we found it quite nice but would not return.

We stayed here for my birthday weekend. Hotel was everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel, plus a very competitive price for the centre of the city. 2 things to be aware of; the hotel does not have a restaurant for evening meals, but this is not a problem as there are many excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The second thing is the awful background music that is played in the lounge/bar area. However we did not let this effect our stay.
