“Excellent quality hotel”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

Had a two night / three day stay in the hotel. Staff were very friendly. The hotel is quality. My wife and I had a wonderful stay, our room was large, the bathroom had a separate shower and a very large bath. Room was comfortable. Hotel is ideally located in the centre of Bruges, just a ten minute taxi ride from the train station. Within a couple of minutes walk there were shops and restaurants. Breakfast was very enjoyable, lots of choice of hot and cold food. We would stay again without hesitation.

Stayed there for seven days just recently. Overall, was a very pretty hotel and really can't complain all that much. On the positive sides, the hotel common areas are lovely, there is a very nice fireplace to enjoy, restrooms and the spa area are very nice. Only complaint on the common areas is that they have limited fitness equipment (one treadmill and only one weight machine) in the gym. Breakfast was decent and ample but could use a few new items occasionally. Croissants were good and so was the bacon, eggs and sausage. Also liked the selection of jams. Restrooms within the room were awesome. Great big tub and nice shower and duel sinks. Also the tea kettle in the room was a nice touch too.

Really, the only few complaints I have is that the carpet in our room was stained, the housekeeping a few times was not that great (dirty tub, dirty tea cups) and the price for parking was a bit high. Also, drink prices were a bit high I felt (except in the mini bars). Bed was a bit old and worn I felt also. The mattress was soft and sunk in the middle a bit. Wife and I had a hard time sleeping at night because that and the hot blankets (the only cover you have). We had to adjust by turning up the air and opening the window at night not to be too hot. Would have been nicer to have a sheet and a lighter cover on top. Service up front and at the bar area, though, made up for these small things.

If I were ever in Brugge again, would probably stay here again.

I recently spent one night at this hotel. If there is such a thing as a soul for a hotel, this has it! We felt welcome from the moment we walked trough the doors, until we checked out. Everything is in the details, and there is a lot of them. The service was subtle, but of the highest standard at all levels. Every one we encountered seemed to share one mission - to make sure I was kept happy. I felt as if I was their only and most important guest ever. The room was tastefully decorated, with a large bathroom. We stayed in the new section, the one hotels usually doesn't show in their pictures, the "modern" business like add-on. But not so here - it could have been the original building for all we knew. It was tastefully blended in with the old structures, and gave us no sense of being "different" and less charming.

Breakfast was good. We arrived by car, and used their underground parking facility - accessed by elevator (yes the car in an elevator). Even the garage was spotless and well lit. There is an additional cost for the added safety of secure parking, but still cheaper than parking on the street. I could go on and on. Bottom line; we will be back! Highly recommended

Went to Bruges for my honeymoon with my wife. We stayed in this hotel and is superb! Very quiet, the bed was extremely comfortable and I managed to get many good nights sleep. The breakfast was nice and you had the option of continental or full English. The staff were polite and always willing to help if you needed directions somewhere.

If I was to travel to Bruges again, this hotel is defiantly somewhere that I would consider staying at.

This hotel was one of the best I have ever visited, without seeming pretentious at all. The hotel is in a perfect location in an amazing city and with its impressive entrance lobbies, stairways and high ceilings in the rooms, it was a truly memorable part of our trip. Cannot fault this place - definitely one of my favorites.

Stayed here for two nights in executive room, which was excellent, lovely room, huge bathroom, loccitaine products a nice treat..comfy bed. Room and public areas were spotless and immaculate.
Hotel bar was very luxurious and great for enjoying a night cap! Had reasonable wifi throughout.
Breakfast was fab, good choice and quality, nice dining room again well presented.
Service was generally ok, nothing bad but nothing wow either, a bit sharp and unwelcoming at some times. If they could take service up a couple of notches, this would be a really fantastic hotel.
We would return if in brugge again..
Oh should not forget to mention its wonderful location!! Very convenient .. Enjoy.

Room Tip: Executive rooms were great

One of the great 4* hotels in Brugge. Very good and central location; No restaurant (which might be perceived as a negative point); Extended breakfast buffet (but a bit crowdy); Nice and spacy rooms which are clean and very well equiped; Good car parking solution under the hotel;
