My boyfriend booked me a surprise break for my 30th birthday to Bruges and booked this hotel. This was out first time in Bruges and we have both said we would love to return at some point.

The hotel is in a great location approximately 3 minutes walk from the main square, perfect location. We were in the modern part of the hotel and the room was gorgeous, we couldn't have asked for anything more. The room was immaculately clean and the bathroom was (literally!) sparkling. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The breakfast was lovely, everything that you could possible ask for from a hotel breakfast and more. We had drinks in the hotel bar one evening, would definitely recommend, our drinks arrived accompanied by gorgeous chocolates!

We would definitely stay at this hotel again and I have already recommended it to friends and family! A must stay in Bruges!

Stayed 4 nights having travelled by Eurostar. Easy taxi ride from Bruges station. Only cost 8 euros. Hotel is really central and couldn't be better situated. Reception rooms and bar area very pleasant and well furnished in old period part of hotel. Our double bedroom was in modern extension at rear of hotel. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts abundant and catering for most tastes. No need for lunch. Lots of good restaurants nearby for dinner. We were lucky to enjoy fine weather and not too many tourists. They come later in year. Chocolates are mouth watering. A boat trip on the canal is recommended.

Room Tip: We were in a standard room 2009 in modern part at back of hotel. Very quiet with a view of canal. Ex...

We spent 3 nights in a 'de luxe' room with a vaulted ceiling and lots of beams. Very spacious and comfortable, but at times not always warm enough - maybe the high ceiling. It was on the 3rd floor, the lift only goes to the 2nd, then there is a marble spiral staircase which could be difficult for some. We managed and found the room very comfortable - a sofa and two comfortable chairs, but limited space for clothes. The bar was wonderful, with a number of rooms offering space for a relaxing drink. Excellent service from the blond barmaid and the house wine very reasonably priced for a hotel of this quality! Breakfast good quality and reasonable range. On a negative side, there were no warm plates for the hot food, which meant it went cold very quickly. Again very good service. Efficient left luggage and taxi booking. Shame it doesn't have a restaurant, or at least light meals in the bar. Would have made the stay almost perfect! We had a good deal via a tour operator which made the price very acceptable.

Room Tip: beware some rooms up narrow marble spiral stairs

We stayed here on a Wednesday and Thursday night in one of executive rooms in the historic part of the building on the back corner so just had a view of the canal and fish market.
Lovely furnished room, huge bathroom with shower and extra long bath just what was needed for a long soak after all the walking
Tranquil setting for breakfast with good quality food although a fried egg would have been nice (no egg/omelette station - only scrambled or fried eggs). Bar prices were also very reasonable
Would I return - YES -tomorrow if I could! but definitely on my next annual beer trip to Brussels

My husband and I booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary - it was our first time in Bruges and we would return without hesitation both to Bruges and this hotel.
The hotel is in a fantastic location just off the main square (this does make it a pricey surrounding area for food and drink though). Hotel is stunning and very clean, our bedroom was equally lovely and we were upgraded to a room with a beautiful high ceiling and wooden beams. Luxurious chandeliers are a key feature throughout this hotel.
Breakfast was fine, good choice although could be improved by some traditional Belgium dishes of waffles/pancakes.
The blonde lady in the bar offered great service and looked after us very well during our stay - a real asset.
On the downside - reception staff friendliness could be improved and I was disappointed to return to my room to find it wide open and mid way through being cleaned - i stayed in the room for 15 mins without the room attendant returning - concerning! I reported this to reception who didn't appear to see this as serious - despite the notice on the desk about thefts and pick pockets.
That said, it would not put me off - we fell in love with both hotel and Bruges and can't wait to return.

Had a two night / three day stay in the hotel. Staff were very friendly. The hotel is quality. My wife and I had a wonderful stay, our room was large, the bathroom had a separate shower and a very large bath. Room was comfortable. Hotel is ideally located in the centre of Bruges, just a ten minute taxi ride from the train station. Within a couple of minutes walk there were shops and restaurants. Breakfast was very enjoyable, lots of choice of hot and cold food. We would stay again without hesitation.

Stayed there for seven days just recently. Overall, was a very pretty hotel and really can't complain all that much. On the positive sides, the hotel common areas are lovely, there is a very nice fireplace to enjoy, restrooms and the spa area are very nice. Only complaint on the common areas is that they have limited fitness equipment (one treadmill and only one weight machine) in the gym. Breakfast was decent and ample but could use a few new items occasionally. Croissants were good and so was the bacon, eggs and sausage. Also liked the selection of jams. Restrooms within the room were awesome. Great big tub and nice shower and duel sinks. Also the tea kettle in the room was a nice touch too.

Really, the only few complaints I have is that the carpet in our room was stained, the housekeeping a few times was not that great (dirty tub, dirty tea cups) and the price for parking was a bit high. Also, drink prices were a bit high I felt (except in the mini bars). Bed was a bit old and worn I felt also. The mattress was soft and sunk in the middle a bit. Wife and I had a hard time sleeping at night because that and the hot blankets (the only cover you have). We had to adjust by turning up the air and opening the window at night not to be too hot. Would have been nicer to have a sheet and a lighter cover on top. Service up front and at the bar area, though, made up for these small things.

If I were ever in Brugge again, would probably stay here again.
