“A nice hotel and conveniently located near the city centre.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014 via mobile

We stayed here recently during our visit to Bruges. This is a nice four star property, is conveniently located, has limited parking (we drove our car) and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast buffet was average. Overall a good hotel.

Just back from a 2 night stay in one of the executive rooms in the older part of the hotel. What a place! Superb decor, furnishings and comfort in the bedroom and throughout the hotel public areas bars and lounges. Wonderful chandeliers and high ceilings giving a sense of grandeur yet comfortable and not overbearing. Spotlessly clean throughout. The staff were attentive and polite, well trained and professional in a way that made you feel well looked after but without the obsequious (or over-familiar) attitude you encounter in some places. The breakfast room was excellent with a well laid out and delicious buffet. Just one minor niggle being a few plumbing noises in the night that the refurbishment hadn't resolved, but with such a comfortable bed and pillows it really wasn't much of an issue. The UK has some excellent hotels but this place could teach many of the 'luxury' category a thing or two including pricing structure. We will definitely go back and can certainly highly recommend.

Room Tip: Go for an exec room in the older part of the hotel

Very nice hotel with large rooms and excellent bed. Lovely atmosphere but a lot of small stairs to get to the reception and elevator. Check in vas fast an nice. Breakfast is good with choose of hot and cold dishes. Excellent location right at the center of old Bruges. Underground car park with car elevator.
Major minus was the absolute horrible internet in the new part of the hotel. Although complementary the speed was dramatically low to even a speed of 0,0 Even after 3 attempt to report to the reception no improvement nor any feedback. So if you wanna work at your room.... Then I would suggest other options in the old town

Room Tip: Had a room at the new part of the hotel at second floor facing the lei (canal). Nice view and quit e...

Have stayed in a number of hotels in Bruges but this by far the best, could not fault anything about it apart from the car park. The car park is at the side of the hotel but if you have a big car you will struggle to drive it through the entrance then you have to nudge it forward into a lift, our car looked like it would not fit so I reversed it out and parked at the Crown Plaza Hotel but please don't follow suit as they charged 35 euros for overnight parking! We stayed in the newest part of the hotel and had a room that overlooked the canal, it was clean and very modern. Location wise you are right next to the main square but just enough distance away that you do not hear any of the hustle and bustle. The breakfast area was superb as was the food selection, well worth paying the extra charge, will be back for sure.

Room Tip: If you have a big car do some research on parking in the area or contact the hotel in advance.

Had the privilege of stopping here for a long weekend, beautiful hotel in the heart of Bruges so perfect for sightseeing, eateries, endless chocolate and beer shops, museums and horse drawn carriage rides. Lovely sized rooms with large bathrooms, very clean, attentive staff, only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the extra price of 25 euro per person for breakfast, outrageous price so go to one of the many cafes for wonderful waffles with fruit and hot chocolate for a lot less money and a great choice of breakfast.

A two minute walk from the main square in Bruges = a great location. Very nice large rooms, especially if you've just got off a cruise ship. Staff was terrific except for just one desk clerk who didn't seem too interested in her work, or maybe just us.

We were traveling in Brugge with our 20-year-old daughter and needed a larger room or two rooms. This hotel has lovely two- level larger rooms for families, including a loft area with a second bed. The steep steps might be challenging for very young children but perfect for older kids. Plus, the bathroom was quite modern - all marble, large sink area, and bath plus separate shower. The beds were comfy too, and the location was perfect. A real find!

Room Tip: Triple and quad rooms are available in the "old" section of the hotel and have an interest...
