Local Belgian pub with a friendly atmosphere. Good ol’ music playing in the background with frequent outburst of song by the clientele and owner. They don’t do stag do’s, which adds to the attraction.

We stopped into this bar randomly and found that we had made a great choice. The bartender was exceptionally friendly as were the regular patrons. This is not a place that many tourists come, in the scheme of things, but was a place we thoroughly enjoyed. The bartender recommended some local Belgian beer for me and even one that my wife, who is not a beer lover, enjoyed. We felt welcomed even though we were just random tourists off the street wandering into the local neighborhood bar, albeit with much better beer than the average neighborhood bar back home in the US!

We visited in April and found it was Tom's bar, who used to be at the Little Bear, its a great little bar and Tom is as friendly as ever,as is the resident budgie 'Romy'. When we visited it was mainly local people in the bar who were all very friendly and the beer 'Ename' was great too. We were looking for somewhere to eat and Tom recommended a couple of places and we tried 'Bones' and the food was great. We visited again and were made incredibly welcome. It will be first on our list when we next visit Bruges

Our healthy post breakfast walk led us to a quieter corner of town and after a two hour meander saw this bar just down the road. It was coffee time, saw it was open, went in and discovered a lovely little haven! As good a beer selection as some we had already found, this bar was able to provide coffee. No skinny Latte with caramel, marshmallow float and whipped cream, just coffee. Perfect. An eclectic mix of paraphernalia adorns the walls, 60's-80's pop music and cheery, helpful staff. Turns out one had been bar at the Brown Bear and started this venture just over two years ago. Comfy chairs, stools and café table.
Definately one to add to the Bruges pub crawl, or even spend all the time here.

What an amazing location.
The music, the staff (Tom - a Jurgen Klopp lookalike) and the booze made this the best night of my recent trip.
I hope this pub never changes as it’s by far the best place I’ve been to in Bruges
