The Erasmus is only a small restaurant ..but big on flavour..! We only intended to eat here the once, but after three visits decided this is the place to eat... If you get the chance try the Flemish stew....mmmm!

We chose this place as the menu was reasonably priced and it was recommended in our guide book. We were not disappointed. The Marvin Gaye menu was varied and interesting. Starters were great, and the main of rabbit was the best rabbit my OH has eaten. My beef stew was ok - the meat could have been more tender. Wine was great. The only suggestion I would make is to dim the lights a bit and have some background music on - it was a little lacking in atmosphere and these two things would be very simple to do! Friendly, efficient staff.

Due to some poor reviews, we tried this restaurant as a last resort to be honest, as all other venues in the area were fully booked.

Very glad we did, as the staff were friendly & helpful, the food was excellent (the steak I had was probably the best I've had for a long time) & the prices very reasonable.

A real shame the restaurant was virtually empty, as given the quality of service & food we received, should have been full.

We went here from the guidebook and had beef stew that was very nice. The atmosphere was ok, one waiter serving 15+ tables who didn't go out of his way to make you feel welcome but he did have a lot of work to do. You had to buy bottled water and weren't allowed tap!

Our group stayed there for many reasons, proximity to city center, excellent restaurant, and comfortable rooms. We were all impressed with the food, ambiance, and courtesy of the staff. Side Note- lost a crown, and the hotel helped me get a dental appointment so I wouldn't miss any of the trip. This effort alone should not go without a HUGE thank you!!!
