We visited Brugge for 2 nights with 8 people for a music festival in early July.

The address wasn't available in the car GPS system so we had to phone. Turns out the place is so new, it's not on the map yet. It's essentially a new building right beside the train tracks at the central station. You park on the 2nd level of the station parking garage and the cost is 2.5 euros per 24 hour period. Or you can walk up some stairs from the staion and you're there.

The location couldn't be better for hitting the streets of Brugge. It's a few steps across the street and you're in the park and outside edge of the city which is a world heritage site for a good reason.

Check in was quick and the cost was exactly what we had booked (49 euros a night booked online). The room had a lock with a code and the building is brand new - I think we were the first to ever stay in our room - it smelled like an Ikea bookcase straight out of the box!

From the flat screen TV with alarm built in, to the ultra-modern bunk-bed bed, table, stools, and shower, it looked like something you'd see in a Star Trek episode. It was only kissing the replicator! But everything was squeaky clean including the room, toilet, shower and bedding.

Despite being a stone's throw from the train tracks (we could see the trains from our window), we never heard or felt a single train.

A few things things on the downside were the A/C which we had on high for both days but didn't get the room below 25C (it was around 30C outside); the shower is in the same room as the bed so you should be pretty good friends with those you're traveling with :-) ; and finally the toilet has a thin wood door that doesn't lock and is not sealed at all and whatever happens in the bathroom is heard by all and lingers for a long time afterward - shall we say; and finally no free wireless - costs 5-10 euros for a few hours or the day.

The breakfast we had the first day for 7 Euros was very good and included coffee, juice, lots of bread and buns, yoghurt, fruit, jam, better, cheese, creame cheese. Very good value considering we spent that same amount for about half as much choice and quantity at other places close by the second day.

There was also one computer in the lobby with free Internet access. Tough to get on but worked well.

If you're looking for an old-world hotel to compliment your visit to this old city, this isn't the place. But otherwise, it provided very good value and is highly recommended for safety, and a clean place to sleep and have breakfast.

This is a budget hotel and you definitely know it, BUT, for what you are paying it is perfect. It is absolutely spanking clean and fresh (although it is new so this might change). The rooms are very small and intimate so sharing with a friend could be a problem, but again, for one or two nights with your partner, it's perfect. The shower is fantastic - easy to use, great pressure, and temperature changing lights on the shower head ! Fun. The sink is situated in the room itself right by the bed but this doesn't really cause any problems. The bed was a bit hard but certainly sufficient.

The location is perfect for getting into central Brugge - easy and beautiful walks. Forget the bus, just stroll in. You can't get lost in Brugge.

As someone said before, it is a little difficult to find due to the building works going on around it but keep looking. Parking is so cheap and right next to the hotel or you can park behind the railway station for free.

I think a few things could be done to make it a better stay but without costing too much:

A bath mat in the room would be so useful as the floor gets wet after a shower - the door tends to leak a little and obviously your feet are wet on getting out. This makes it a bit awkward to walk in that area after showering.

More pillows please - one pillow per person is never going to be sufficient.

The strange on and off light in the toilet needs looking at ! The light is on a timer - fine, it stops people using unecessary electricity - but it goes on and off every ten seconds or so! This means you either have to leave the door open (not always possible when you are sharing) or sit in the dark half of the time. Changing it to 2 or 3 minutes would make so much more sense.

A counter top of some description, or even a little table, would make life so much easier. There is absolutely nowhere to put your stuff other than the tiny counter top around the sink area. A small shelf would be great.

Saying all that though, this is seriously great value for money and an absolute boon for those who go to Brugge often, as we do. We visit friends and spend very little time in a hotel anyway and a hotel costing half as much again as other cheap hotels in Brugge is a Godsend to us. It's a 2 minute walk from our favourite meeting place (which I won't mention as I don't want it filling up with "tourists" - ha), the parking is ultra ultra cheap and right next to the hotel, the train station, with it's variety of coffee shops and snack bars is just down the stairs (there are no facilities in the hotel other than some drink and snack machines) and there's a small supermarket right next door.

Take extra pillows and a towel for the floor, together with a travel kettle and some coffee and you really cannot go wrong.

If you have a few minutes to spare, have a walk around the huge electrical store just downstairs - great fun.

PS - the staff are fantastic. Enthusiastic and helpful. Far better service than a lot of top hotels - thanks for that.

This hotel is centrally located, the staff is wonderful, the rooms are brand new and very clean. This is my second stay this month. You pay 2.50 Euro per 24 hours to park; however, you are able to ride the buses for free with your parking ticket. It is somewhat hard to find because there is construction going on around the hotel; but, keep looking, it is well worth the search.

Hotel is just besides Train Station. City Center is just 5 mins by bus stand which is just down stairs.

Super market is just besides.
It’s a low cost hotel so no service is provided. Rooms are small but clean.
Wash basin is just besides the bed.
Have breakfast facility which coasted 7euro.

Doesn’t have restaurant.
Wi-Fi will cost you 5.5 Euros for 2 Hrs but in my case after paying the amount my laptop didn’t connected because of some IP problems and they said it’s your laptop problem and we won’t refund but my laptop was fine it got connected in other hotels. So I felt cheated.

Rest hotel is fine staff dnt speak good English but they try to help you and if you ask go to them again and agin they show like they are very busy
You can stay here if you just want a clean place to sleep. We chosse this as whole day we were out in brugges

I stayed in the Etap Hotel at Bayeux last year for 1 night and was impressed with the simple, clean, good value approach offered by this hotel chain. The hotel under review is brand new, having only been open for less than a week. Hence I was probably the first guest to stay in my room! Not surprisingly everything was new, spotlessly clean and fully functional.

With these type of hotels, what you see is what you get: a straightforward, functional yet comfortable room at a very competitive price. The bed was firm but comfortable, with smple clean linen. The air-conditioning and TV worked fine. And the shower was superb.

This hotel is an easy and pleasant 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Brugge, either on roads or through the parks. Don't let the location by the central station put you off - in fact if you're travelling by bus or train it's probably a major bonus. The double-glazing means you don't hear the trains. The hotel is right by a cheap car park too - handy if, like me, you're travelling by car.

This probably isn't the type of hotel you'd book for a longer stay, especially if you like creature comforts or more luxurious fittings. But for an overnight place to put your head down, or for a 2-3 day city break where you don't plan on spending much time in the hotel, it's hard to fault.
