We visited Brugge for 2 nights with 8 people for a music festival in early July.
The address wasn't available in the car GPS system so we had to phone. Turns out the place is so new, it's not on the map yet. It's essentially a new building right beside the train tracks at the central station. You park on the 2nd level of the station parking garage and the cost is 2.5 euros per 24 hour period. Or you can walk up some stairs from the staion and you're there.
The location couldn't be better for hitting the streets of Brugge. It's a few steps across the street and you're in the park and outside edge of the city which is a world heritage site for a good reason.
Check in was quick and the cost was exactly what we had booked (49 euros a night booked online). The room had a lock with a code and the building is brand new - I think we were the first to ever stay in our room - it smelled like an Ikea bookcase straight out of the box!
From the flat screen TV with alarm built in, to the ultra-modern bunk-bed bed, table, stools, and shower, it looked like something you'd see in a Star Trek episode. It was only kissing the replicator! But everything was squeaky clean including the room, toilet, shower and bedding.
Despite being a stone's throw from the train tracks (we could see the trains from our window), we never heard or felt a single train.
A few things things on the downside were the A/C which we had on high for both days but didn't get the room below 25C (it was around 30C outside); the shower is in the same room as the bed so you should be pretty good friends with those you're traveling with :-) ; and finally the toilet has a thin wood door that doesn't lock and is not sealed at all and whatever happens in the bathroom is heard by all and lingers for a long time afterward - shall we say; and finally no free wireless - costs 5-10 euros for a few hours or the day.
The breakfast we had the first day for 7 Euros was very good and included coffee, juice, lots of bread and buns, yoghurt, fruit, jam, better, cheese, creame cheese. Very good value considering we spent that same amount for about half as much choice and quantity at other places close by the second day.
There was also one computer in the lobby with free Internet access. Tough to get on but worked well.
If you're looking for an old-world hotel to compliment your visit to this old city, this isn't the place. But otherwise, it provided very good value and is highly recommended for safety, and a clean place to sleep and have breakfast.
