I have never stayed anywhere before where I felt so cared for in such elegant surroundings. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It's in the perfect location, easy to find with the sat nav, and steps away from the river where you can take a boat trip and close to the main square for once you arrive and you want to explore. We chose to park with the hotel and had our own garage! The room was beautiful, we booked a Ralph Lauren suite which was lovely, not a huge room but perfect for us, with a four poster bed, marble bathroom and jacuzzi bath. The best bed in a hotel I have ever slept in. The hotel's sitting room is stunning and their bar is beautifully elegant . Breakfast is just out of this world. Too many wonderful things to mention!!

My wife and I have just stayed at the Pand Hotel in Bruge for a three-day break. The hotel, like Bruge itself, was small, cosy, clean and very welcoming. The staff were excellent, and the breakfast was fantastic (including the champagne!). There's a BUT however! We stayed in a junior suite, and whilst the room was great, we had three of the worst nights' sleeps ever. This left us exhausted and frustrated. Here's why. The room didn't have temperature control and the heating was turned up high in the night. Add to this some very low quality pillows, a bed that was fractionally too hard (and we like hard beds) and some uncomfortable plastic under-sheets that only added to the over-heating and you get the picture. It really was a shame, as everything else was near perfect. Don't let this put you off, but it's something to consider carefully as it may not affect you like it did us.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front of the hotel - they have more windows and thus increased light.

Not normally a big B&B fan but Hotel Pand could change my mind. The location is fabulous. The staff really make the hotel shine. From the moment you arrive the staff bend over backwards to welcome you. Excellent recommemdations for walks, events and restaurants. The rooms are charming with comfortable beds. The little bar is a cozy place to have a late afternoon drink and we enjoyed relaxing on the sitting room couch in frontof the Christmas tree. Would love to visit Brugge again and would return to the Pand.

Excellent decor, great attention to detail and really friendly and helpful staff. What more could you want? We stayed in one of the junior suites and it was great - perfect to relax in after a morning of walking and shopping ready to go out again for the evening. The location was excellent - very close to all the sights but just off of a main street in a leafy little side street which meant it was nice and quiet. The decor was beautiful and the staff were really accommodating and cheerful!

My only minus point - and it's a minor one really, was that the hair dryer in the bathroom was not only really heavy but you had to hold the button really hard all the time in order to keep it switched on at the fastest speed. I have long hair and it was really hard work - if I had any sort of arthritis in my hands it would have been impossible. But as I say, a really minor point for what was a lovely stay in a lovely hotel.

Needs serious renovation as rooms are not up to date with luxury standards anymore. Also, rooms are tiny and there is no satellite TV or foreign channels available. Access to sauna is subject to fee(40 euros) which is unheard of for a 4 star hotel. We were given very poor advice regarding restaurant options, the hotel staff would not bother checking whether the recommended restaurants were actually open that day...and in fact they were not.

We had Brekkie on one morning and it was excellent...champagne, bacon and eggs...the location was key - the hotel is walking distance from everywhere!!Free wifi, nice little bar with lovely wine!!Would recommend this hotel to anyone, we had a lovely time at the Pand!!
