A big public underground car park just next to the hotel over the square. If you need to park, it is a good choice. You can reach the town centre within 15 mins walk. The bed is a bit too soft to me and water pressure from shower is too weak. Breakfast is good in European hotels taking into account the price of room. Wifi is OK but you need to get a password reception every 24 hours.

Room Tip: A room facing the square is not noisy and you may enjoy seeing people coming and going.

Stayed here in late March for 4 nights, first time visitor to Bruges. Only a 10 minute walk from the railway / bus station , in the direction of the town centre (Don't book a taxi - Walk out of the station entrance , turn left, go under the underpass and its the first street on the right "Boeveristraat") . It's central , but then everything is really in a small city like Bruges.
The impression I got is that this hotel is designed to cater for business travellers ( i.e €24 for breakfast is easy to put through on expenses, but a little more painful for the private traveller - although in fairness you can get a small discount for booking this in advance). Room we had was facing the back of the hotel, and reading the reports since, its probable that these have not been refurbised. It was tired looking, not dirty, but jaded and faded. I think on our floor at least, these were the "odd numbers" - even numbers face the front and may have been refurbished. Lobby area was fairly Ok, fresh coffee available was advertised but rarely anything in the flasks unless you asked. Bar was fairly cosy, but again, not cheap. Restaurant - pricey but with an interesting menu. Rarely anyone in , so didn't bother. Staff were excellent, helpful and pleasant and the location facing T'zant square is really good.

The impression I got was that its not cheap enough to be a budget hotel ( I paid £324 for 4 nights room only), but hasn't got that extra something that you get when you pay a little bit more. Next time I would pay more and get a real 4-star, or pay less and spend the money on food and drink ! It may be that like a lot of northern Europe this price is par for the course , but thats just what I thought. Some silly extras like a fitness room ( After you have spent all day traipsing round Bruges??). Room had an old TV with no english channels, coffee/tea/kettle, bathroom had hairdryer and toiletries.

Tips: If you don't want to pay for the breakfast, go out of the door on to T'zant square, ( don't cross over), past the Morrison Bar + Lindenhof bar (avoid both) turn left into Smedenstraat before you get to the dual carriageway and at the bottom of the street on the right there is a Carrefour selling fresh Danish pastries for less than a euro each. Save the money and blow it on a good evening meal ( see seperate reviews).

One other tip, after debating whether to fly, catch a train, go on the Eurostar etc etc, opted to get a coach via Eurolines from Birmingham changing at Victoria. Only £60 return and less baggage restrictions. Not the quickest but you get to see some of the country.

Room Tip: Probably ask from fron-facing - see review.

I spent only one night there on a business trip and I wish I could have stayed longer. The hotel is very well located (well Brugge is not a big city anyway). The food for breakfast was very good. The rooms are very well furnished in a old style with wooden furnitures. It does look a bit 19th century but I like it. One bad point though: carpets in hotels is not fashionable anymore. It is even gross.

We booked the NH Brugge only because the couple we were going with had booked it but what a find.
Only 10 min stroll from the railway station & the centre, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
I would recommend the breakfast it's good value and saves time looking around in the morning .
We stayed in a standard room the bed was amazingly comfortable and large.
And deferentially check out the bar, the barman knows all you will what to know about Belgium beer.
We would stay there again and would consider NH Hotels in other cities after our experience.

We rated this hotel with 3 stars as it was just average and wouldn't say it was very good. We chose NH hotel to stay in whilst visited Bruges because we stayed in two NH hotels in Spain that we loved and couldn't fault them at all. Its a rather average hotel and absolutely nothing outstanding about it. Check in was quick. Hotel was easy to find with a sat nav. Receptionist gave us a map and explained how to get to the parking place. Relatively easy to find. It's in a tunnel and when we parked up we realised that the exit is in the square where the hotel is located. Easy. So when we were leaving, we didn't even have to go get the car, we just walked back to the car with all our bags. Parking for 2 days was £17.40. Not bad for Bruges. We booked a double deluxe room. Let me also mention that we booked through hotelclub and got a lot better deal than other websites offered. Found a discount code on topcashback.com and also had the deal of "Book 3 nights and get 25% off" or similar. We payed £220 for 3 nights and chose to pay for our breakfast at the hotel rather than when booking. I found that cheaper. It was 15 Euros per person and was an okay breakfast with plenty of choice - cheeses, meats, cereal, soy products, pastries and cooked breakfast. Not quite full english, no beans, tomatos or hash brows. Coffee and other hot drinks - from a coffee making machine. Coffee wasn't great but I quite liked the fact I didn't need to wait for anyone to bring it over and could have as many as you liked. They also had take away cups next to the machine, so I guess you could grab another one on your way. However, compared to the Spanish NH hotels, where you got freshly cooked breakfast of your choice brought over specially for you and also a freshly made coffee. Also the breakfast buffee was of a much higher quality in Spain. Staff seemed very busy and ignored us when we walked in. They usually ask what's our room number so they know that we have been for breakfast, but after a 3-4 minute wait, we just walked through and sat down. During breakfast we amused ourselves by watching other guests "prepareing their own packed lunch" by putting pastries and fruit in to their bags. Our double deluxe room ( nr 211) was quite big. The view was pretty bad - only the hotel yard and the back of a police station, but then we didn't really spend a lot of time in the room. It had two double beds that we pushed together. They were comfortable but the bedding itself was extremely creased. I don't iron my own bedding, but it's never in the state that it was in this hotel, especially the corners and sides of the duvet that the cleaners just push under the mattress, Towels had some little holes where they've obviously have been used a lot. Bathroom was disappointing. It would have been nice but it was "worn out". The dark blue walls had water marks all over and the paint on walls and wood was chipped and worn off. Shower itself was lovely. Hotel seemed very quiet. We went to the bar once and it was okay. Had a quick look at the menu and decided to go in to town for dinner. it was just like another reviewer of this hotel had mentioned - they have overpriced the restaurant and as a consequence there were only a couple of people having food. It was very cold when we visited so we didn't really want to walk around a lot. We spent quite a fair bit of time in cafes. Some of them were okay, some - rubbish and overpriced. There are a lot of cafes/restaurans lined up right opposite the "Belfort en Hallen". Somewhere on the right side there was an Italian place - it was okay. And last on the left side - absolutely awful cafe. We waited around 15 minutes to get served. They brough wrong order anyway. We went for dinner at " De Vier Winden" which was very very nice and staff was lovely - it's located on side of the markt - right from the Belfort en Hallen. To sum this all up - Bruges is nothing like in the movie "In Bruges", so we were disappointed however I would guess it would be a lot more pleasant in summe. And we wouldn't stay in this hotel again.

NH hotel is situated about 500m from the railway and bus station and is an easy 5-10 minute walk into the centre of Bruges. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and it was no problem when we checked in early after our arrival via the Zeebruges ferry.
The hotel interior is tastefully decorated, quiet and clean. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and well appointed.
Breakfast is optional and comprised the usual continental selections, plus cooked items for those who prefer an English type breakfast and was worth the extra money.
The hotel was booked through lastminute.com and was the "secret hotel". Well worth the gamble at the price......We would certainly stay there again.

Stayed 3 nights and could have stayed longer. Hotel staff all genuinely very friendly. Room was good. Warm and nicely decorated. Bed comfy. Beer in bar very nice. Hotel shared areas well presented and Road & bus station opposite a bit noisy even with secondary glazing. breakfast had loads of choice and nice quality. Only gripe is bathroom needed a proper clean. Swimming pool closed probably more 3 star than 4. Good central location & easy walk to station. TV in room was antique, but who goes to Bruge to watch a hotel TV! If I return to Bruge I would seriously consider staying again. I liked this Hotel and if it got a little room refurb, 21st century tvs , proper wifi and deep clean it would be exceptional.
