“Ideal hotel for many reasons”
Reviewed 29 December 2013 via mobile

This hotel is located right in the T sand square which is within walking distance to everywhere. The rooms are a good size with two double beds in each room. The rooms are Very quiet. The hotel has a lovely bar with a very experienced barman (arkane?) who is a wonder at mixing cocktails. there is also a lovely restaurant on site. The bus station is just across the road so when arriving at the train terminal you can catch any bus heading to the centrum and it is only one stop away. It costs 2 euros per person. You can also walk on a good day as it is only 12 minutes away. Friendly helpful staff who speak very good English. A good hotel for all.

I enjoyed a meal at their restaurant in December 2013. As we were splitting the bill, I paid my share by credit card. Being late and having a little to drink, I took little notice of the actual transaction, save checking the amount entered in euros. On my return to the UK, I checked my credit card statement and noticed that the amount had been charged in sterling, using dynamic currency conversion. I never use this, because of the extra charges and poor exchange rate. It clearly states on the credit card receipt that I was offered the choice and had chosen this method and my decision was irreversible. I was not offered the choice. An email to the hotel complaining about the charges levied has received no response, hence this entry. I feel defrauded by the hotel and am very disappointed at the lack of courtesy shown by their failure to respond.

We stayed here for 4 days over the Xmas period.

The Hotel is very well situated for exploring Brugge, and also within walking distance of the station. It is convenient for buses also. Close to restaurants and cafés.

The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly.

Hotel warm, but bedrooms comfortable and not overly hot as is often the case with hotels. Bedrooms spacious, bathroom normal, but fine.

Breakfast was included girl us, and was superb, with huge choice, and excellent variety of coffee available.

Lots of seating, lounge areas.

A lovely hotel to spend a relaxing Xmas break.

Room Tip: Our room was on 5th floor and fine and quiet.

This hotel is very easy to get to from the Train station for those New in Brugge.
I had been there one time before and they records showed that and he said thanks for comming back. that is cool. first time i have heard that :)

Its Close to the New sqare and just on the edge of old town. if you come by bus, its the closest hotel.

Rooms a bit worn Down but bed and facilities are good.

BUT WHEN IN BRUGGE, DONT STAY TOO LONG IN THE HOTEL! GO EXPLORE

Friendly and polite staff, excellent English spoken. Hotel is nicely situated, less than 10 mins from the main square, and same distance from the train station. Room was clean & tidy. Recommended, would stay here again.

NH Brugge hotel is very well placed on the main square and is excellent for its Restaurant and cosy bar. Reception was very efficient and checking in and out very quick. Would recommend this for a short break to this lovely city.

This hotel is an unusual experience, rooms have obviously been renovated! The bed so comfy but the linen tired and woren, bathroom very dark and shower scorches your bum! I know shouldn't complain i'm not! Sunday night no bar!! Just as well we took from UK our own alcohol and a game, commandeered an area in the lobby candles and tree , why would you take your own alcohol I here you say, we travelled Euro Star all 10 of us so drinking started very early. The staff never complained and where happy for us to entertain ourselves and we weren't bothered by other visitors either. It would have been nice to have been warned about the visitors tax per room plus took bottle of water total on check out €10, all in all a lovely hotel bargain in Expedia as well so would visit again.

Room Tip: Go higher than second floor take odd numbers as these faced out wards not over the roof!
