“Cosy and comfortable”
Reviewed 5 February 2014

Booked this via lastminute as a secret hotel and wasn't disappointed. Staff were helpful and courteous, room was large and comfortable, and location was very convenient. We traveled during March when the weather was very cold and NH Brugge was warm and welcoming to come back to after a day of exploring. It's not the most modern of hotels however still charming and well appointed, and it provided a way more comfortable and enjoyable stay than a more contemporary place we stayed at in Brussels.

Stayed here for a weekend and it was really nice courteous pleasant staff , very calm and peaceful, very central, and lovely big rooms with very comfortable beds. We ate in the hotel both nights because our experience was very good on the first night but unfortunately not so good on the second, the food was good although the menu was quite limited, what let it down for us was that when I booked, the Head waiter hesitated and gave the impression that we were really lucky to get a table, we asked to sit at a window table, there are several and we had sat at one on our first night but again he said it was impossible they were fully booked, when we went down there were only four occupied tables and only one window seat taken we asked again for a window but were told it was not possible unfortunately we cannot understand why, no more people ate in the restaurant we even asked a waitress if they had more bookings but she said they had not, so why could we not sit at a table of our choice? So my advise would be stay in this hotel it's great but avoid the restaurant and go to one of the dozens of others .

First time at this Hotel and was very happy with every aspect. The location is ideal a short walk from the train and bust stations. Its just a short walk from the Old Town and everything Brugge has to offer. Great bars and restaurant's all over town that is full of history and great views and photo opportunities . Just 100 Yards to the Beer Festival too which was terrific .
Very good self service breakfast. Bar a little on the dear side would recommend popping in to town to drink and worth noting a 3 euro city tax per room per day is added to your bill!!!!!

Reasonable hotel. Good location, as you can be in the main shopping street within 3 minutes, and a stroll to the main square in about 10-15 minutes. The hotel is a little "tired" but it's ok. The shower fell apart on our last day, just through old age.
A word of caution though. You MUST use the safe in the room for your valuables. My daughter (in a separate room) failed to do so, and as a result a few items of (valuable) jewellery went missing. Her mistake not to use the safe, but she expected items in a box in her hotel bathroom to be safe. Of course, it's impossible to say with certainty who took them, but the fact is that they were definitely taken from her room. The hotel manager and head of housekeeping were "sympathetic" but be warned and don't assume your valuables will be safe at this hotel.

Like all other NH hotels, this one was also upto the mark and it was a pleasant stay. More than hotel room, we enjoyed the surroundings. we did not find much variety in breakfast & that particular day, the restaurant service was also not that good (compared to other NH hotels)

The value was great. The front desk people were very helpful and kind. It is only 5-10 minutes from the main marketplace. I would not advise to have the breakfast there, it was average, at best. Take the time to walk 5 minutes to Carpe Diem Tearoom where the waffles are amazing.
The facility was clean but nothing to write home about.

Good value hotel, 10 minutes walk from the main square. Also a 10 minute walk from the station, so close our taxi driver said he wouldn't have taken us if we didn't have suitcases! The room was spacious with a huge, comfortable bed. Shower was a bit difficult to regulate but fine once you'd mastered the controls! Reasonable choice at the breakfast buffet. Helpful reception staff. Bar closed early though.
