“NH Brugge: a very good hotel in an amazing old city!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2010

Book your stay at the NH Brugge hotel and enjoy Bruges - The Jewel of Flandres! I stayed there for 3 nights, with my wife. We just loved! Our only concern was choosing the restaurants and the places to visit. The room is clean and confortable and with a nice bathroom! Breakfast is excellent! Very good staf! Nice indoor pool! The hotel is very well located, just 800 meters from the train station. We came from Amsterdam, by train, so we walked to the hotel. But you can also take a taxi (it´s only 7 Euros). There is a bus station in front of the hotel too. A convenience store beside. Just cross the square and take the Zuidzandstr street and your journey of pleasure will start!!! Go to Bruges, stay at the NH Brugges and have a lot of fun and relaxation! Ah, I almost forgot! Don´t forget to rent a bike and also to take the boat tour along the channels! And drink the Belgium beer!

Lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean. Not one, but two, double beds in the room.
Bathroom big and user friendly. Shower gel, shampoo, soap, shower cap all provided as was an excellent hairdryer.
Breakfasts wonderful - if you come out hungry its your own fault. Everything you want, including cooked breakfast if that's what you like.
Evening meals seemed a bit on the expensive side but we ait out every night anyway.
(avoid Pizza Hut - dirty and smelly - carpets filthy and they want you to pay to use the loo!!).
The hotel is exactly 10 minutes level walk from the station and a further 5/10 minutes into the centre of Bruges.
We had a lovely time wandering around the streets of this beautiful city and meandering along the canals.
We also managed to have a day in Ostend which was fine. It was nice to see the sea!.
Eating out seems to be expensive but there are gems to be found which are more reasonable. We found a turkish kebab restaurant which did a huge kebab in a pitta brea with frittes and a drink for 7 euros - what a bargain.
All in all a lovely long weekend break. Highly recommended.

We have just come back from a long weekend in Bruges. We stayed at the NH Brugges. It was lovely. They upgraded us upon arrival to a deluxe room with a garden view. It was so peaceful and we had two double beds......everythings worked, excellent air con, very quiet and we got plenty of rest. The restaurant for breakfast was one of the most organised I have come across. Excellent. We had dinner one night in the restaurant and even tough I have various food allergies - that was not a problem and the waiter made a point at breakfast coming to show us which food might be a problem - only one on the ham section. The dinner at the hotel was wonderful, service was first class and the food was lovely. Bar staff were very friendly too and looked after the guests. Nothing was too much for any of the staff and they certainly made it very clear that they were there to look after the guests. Thank you once again for a lovely weekend.

Came here for our anniversary weekend. We mentioned the purpose of the visit in our booking form and when we arrived, they'd kindly upgraded us to an absolutely lovely suite.

The room was clean on arrival with a well stocked mini-bar. Two bathrooms, two televisions, separate living and bedrooms. Big, squashy bed, lovely cooling air-con. This suite was AMAZING!

Breakfast was excellent and the hotel is in an absolutely spot-on location. Didn't get a chance to try out the restaurant or the pool sadly but we're considering a second visit.

If you're in Brugge, we sure to check out the Segway Tour.

Me and my sister stayed at NH Brugge for 2 nights to spend a weekend away for her birthday. The hotel was lovely. The decor is old style with green and red furnighsings and randomly a suit of armour in the reception but it felt very welcoming and warm. There is a small indoor pool and steam room which we used - they were clean and it was nice and relaxing to have this option at the end of a day of site seeing.

The room was spacious and the beds (we had a twin room) were very comfy and a generous size for singles. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with large mirrors and an extra magnifying make up mirror too with shampoo, soap and shower cap provided, as well as towels. There is also generous wardrobe space in the rooms and a safe for money/passports etc. We were also able to request use of an iron which was delivered to the room promptly, and an adaptor plug which they supplied also for us.

We ate in the restraunt the first night - we were given a 10% guest dicount card - the food was beautiful and the waiter was very attentive. We both ordered steak which was cooked to perfection and got enough fires and sald for both of us even though we had ordered one protion of each. We were also given a free appitizer of smoked salmon and free choclates with our coffee. The bar was also nice - a bit old school with a sunken bar area and small charis around so you can sit at the bar hieght comfortably.

The location is perfect - 10 mins walk from the station and 10 mins to the Markt. There is also a main square outside the hotel which had a market on Saturday morning.

I would definatley reccommend this hotel and would stay there again. Although I can't comment on value for money too much as I got the room on a special deal so I am not sure how much it would cost full price.

We stayed at the NH hotel in February. Great location - close to the centre of Bruges but in a quiet area.

Hotel feels very high quality, we are used to low budget hotels and were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived here!

Rooms were large, we had a powerful shower and bath, tea/coffee making facilities and a safe. When I read up on hotels I always want a few details about breakfasts (Im greedy like that!) They were amazing, large hot and cold buffet e.g. bacon, scrambled eggs, pastries, fresh fruit salad..great choice!

Pool was lovely, never very busy when we stayed, steam room and small gym also.

Overall, the staff were very friendly and the hotel is very comfortable and convenient. I'd go back there any day!

We stayed 7-10 June 2010 in this hotel. The staff couldn't be more helpful nor friendly. The room is huge, quiet with a large comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked (unlike in other hotels we have stayed in!)The hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from the train station, and is about 10-15 minutes from the main square (Markt) in Brugge. We loved it and would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone. Whilst there was a conference being held there whilst we were there, it did not hinder us in anyway. Breakfasts were good too. Well done NH Brugge - if all your NH hotels are the same, good job.
