A nice budget hotel only 4km from the centre of Brugge. Rooms clean, comfortable and quiet.
Breakfast was a little disappointing as the cooked breakfast options were cold. Although there was a good continental breakfast selection to fill up on before a busy day sightseeing in Brugge.
If travelling by car the hotel is only 10 mins from the centre with all day parking at the central station for €3.50. Although the hotel does offer discounted taxis into the centre.
I would stay here again if visiting the area.

The hotel is in a small forest patch near the highway, lots of trees and clean air plus free parking with plenty of available places. The rooms are large, looking like recently refurbished and squeaky clean. This hotel is great value for money compared with hotels closer to the central area of Brugge.

Highly recommended for a short stay/city break but only if you don't mind going to Brugge by car.

We went with an offer of travelbird. We knew the hotel was far from the center but we didn't know how difficult to reach it was!

We arrived to Brugge at 8:00PM on a friday. Once at the station we were going to take a bus, however, the busses were already in the evening shift and we didn't know which one to take. I called the hotel and they didn't know which bus could take us there. The worker of the helpdesk let us know that we could take a taxi that would cost us 13 euros but that we had to call a company called "taxi Snel". When I asked her how to contact taxi snel she just said that we should ask the taxi drivers. The taxi drivers waiting at the station had no idea about this taxi snel and told us that it would cost us about 19 euros to get a ride to the hotel. After asking around for a while, I called them again to find out how we could get there and the girl in the hotel finally offered to call us one of those cheap taxis. The ride was fine but in the end it didn't cost the promised 13 euros but the regular rate. I informed in the desk and this girl told us that it is 13 euros when you buy a special discount on the reception of the hotel.

I did not like the lack of information at the website of the hotel about this issues and the passive attitude of the reception girl. Giving half the information on the first call and wait for me to call again to fully inform me is not very professional.

As for service once in the hotel. There was no way to contact the reception from our room and the staff didn't know the number of the reception. Also, a small bottle of water of 33cl costs 2 euros at the hotel. Also, the night we arrived we ordered a pizza each and they were supermarket pizzas warmed up in a microwave 10 euros each!

For the rest, the hotel is clean and the rooms comfortable. Breakfast is good and workers quite friendly.

I would not return to this hotel unless I had a car and no other option. It is worth to pay a bit more for a room in the center. What you save staying at Leonardo hotel, you spend on trips to the center.

I stayed at this hotel on 16th June as part of a group of 11 cyclists. The hotel is very basic to say the least but is also at the budget end of the pricing scale for this part of Belgium. The rooms are spacious and clean. Ablution facilities again basic but in working order.

The outdoor pool is heated to a nice temperature and is very clean and the area around it well maintained.

The hotel has some sort of deal in place with a local taxi firm whereby a guest can purchase a return taxi ticket from reception for €26 you receive 2 tickets and hand one to the driver on arrival at Bruges there's a telephone number on the return ticket to ring and the cab will pick you up from wherever you may be.

We booked a four day quick coach tour to Bruges , Brussels and Antwerp at the end of May 2012 with another couple. We stayed at the Leonardo just outside Bruges.

We were not expecting anything special so we were all very pleased that this hotel was way above the typical tourist standard.

The hotel is located in a nice secluded wooded area - good for an evening stroll.
The hotel was modern , very clean and obviously very well maintained.
Rooms likewise were spacious clean and very comfortable..
Reception staff were efficient helpful and friendly.
Nice bar with sensible prices .
Free internet access at a hotel computer in the lounge
Nice grounds which were very well tended
Large outdoor heated pool which was well maintained (no leaves, debris in pool !)

The most outstanding feature was the restaurant which served us a tour package buffet each evening. I have to say we were amazed at the quality of the food. Every meal was truly superb and we cannot fault anything about it. We saw some non tour guests choosing the a la carte menu and their meals looked wonderful.

Likewise the breakfasts were excellent with a huge buffet , range of fruit juices , fresh fruit, teas and coffees, simple but tasty hot options and the usual breads , toasts, croissants etc. All fresh and tasty.

We highly recommend this hotel for a great value stop over, and we would definitely stay there again.

Pros - Nice location in a wooded area .
Clean well maintained hotel
Excellent food
Good staff
Great Value

Cons - location is on the outskirts of Bruges so be prepared for a short car or taxi drive into town (too far to walk).
Located near a busy road BUT there was no obvious noise anywhere in the hotel (all rooms fully double glazed) and we never actually noticed the road, due to the woods.

Why can't all tourist hotels be like this ?

Vic

Very good cost benefit. An excellent breakfast. Free parking. Extra sofa bed would be enough for even two small children. Some minuses: The heated pool was not working, it is located rather far from the beautiful Brugge city center.

Having made a group booking last December for 32 rooms for 2 nights this June and having received signed confirmation from the hotel reservations manager in December I presumed as anyone would the reservation was secure, 3 days ago I received an e.mail from the hotel saying they had cancelled the booking as there was no confirmation received ??, can you imagine how we can expect to find 32 rooms for 2 nights in a busy city like Brugge with so short notice it is impossible. This group were mainly ex. service people and their wives etc. visiting the Battlefields and Grave yards of the area. I can only assume the hotel has received a better price from someone else and accepted it at our expence. Please dont put any faith in any bookings you may make with this hotel you may arrive to find you have no accommodation there for you,BE CAREFULL WITH THIS UNTRUSTWORTHY HOTEL RESERVATION SYSTEM. I have e.mailed head office management team regarding this but so far they have decided to ignored my letter I have used this hotel on 3 previous occassions for similar trips with some bother regarding accommodation but we did eventualy get it sorted
