We travel to Bruges several times a year and decided to give this hotel a try,it is a beautiful hotel but on arrival we were shown to a seperate block of rooms outside the main building and although the room was clean and adequate it was a disappointment to be decanted in this way, will not be returning to this hotel and would advise others to stay clear as the better rooms seem to be kept for block booking for coach parties.

Very well located in the centre of Bruges. We had a comfortable long-weekend stay, in light airy room, big firm bed, and nice bathroom.
Small pool and Sauna in basement also very nice.
Breakfasts were very good, catering for every need. Stock up for the day.

tip for Bruges-- take very comfortable shoes. You will walk on a lot of cobbled streets! Worth it though. Fantastic place. Eating out is fairly expensive. Like Venice or Paris.
3 nights were enough to do most things.

Our second stay at the Navarra, this time we were in the main building, rather than the gatehouse. Rooms have slightly less personality, but more space. Bedroom not over-generous, but bathroom spacious. All clean. Staff friendly and keen to help, breakfast room busy but staff attentive and quick to clear up. Piano bar small but staff service excellent and unobtrusive. Swimming pool in the cellars is a gem, if tiny, but has great ambience and is worth a visit, the sauna also a pleasant experience. Good value for money, still a firm recommendation due to location, cleanliness, atmosphere, decorations, style, and pleasant service. We visited with friends - all were impressed. We cannot confirm any problem with beds - we found the beds supportive, clean and comfortable. No problems whatever.

Just returned from the Navarra and found it to be a great place to stay, we travelled with 2 teenage sons and had two rooms at the end of a corridor it felt like we had our own wing, this worked extremely well for us rooms 293 and 294, one was at the front of the hotel and as it was during the week we had no problem with noise, slept the best I have ever done in a hotel. The rooms were spotless, well equiped and the UK TV stations was an added bonus as was the internet near reception, teenagers were able to keep up with what was going on at home.

The breakfast was great and the staff always met us with a smile.

The central location was also great.

The highlight of our break was the sedgway tour around Brugge, the office is opposite the hotel and we would recommend the 2 hour tour without hesitation.

Room Tip: 293 and 294 great for family with teenagers

Just returned from a three night stay at this lovely Hotel.

We stayed in two rooms, a twin room for our 2 children aged 14 & 12 and a double room for ourselves. The Hotel ensured the rooms were next to each other.

The children enjoyed the swimming pool and the Jazz Bar made special fruit cocktails for them in the evening. I found the bar quite reasonably priced compared to other nearby bars.

The Reception staff were excellent and very helpful , recommending Restaurants, lending us a plug adapter and booking taxi's.

The bed was extremely comfortable , the bathroom was excellent and I was impressed that the safe in the room was free,

My only slightly negative comment was that it was very busy at breakfast and it could be a bit of a scrum around the bacon and rolls but we never waited longer than a few minutes for a table.

I would recommend this Hotel to anyone and there did seem to be alot of families there with young children..

Room Tip: We stayed on the 2nd floor at the back of the Hotel. It was very quiet.

Stayed here for 3 nights over Easter. How anyone can find a serious fault with this hotel is beyond me. From the friendly eay check in to the pleasant check out we were served with friendly staff always willing to please. From booking a table at restaurants to the laid back atmosphere in the bar we had a great weekend.
We e-mailed ahead of our arrival to request a quiet room on the top floor and this is what we got. We had 3 excellent nights sleep. A good view from our window. There is a beam in the upper floor rooms that could be considered a hazard but I am over 6ft and even I managed to avoid it even after a few Belgian beers! (There is a photo of this beam on another review) Never got to use the spa or gym so cant comment.
The Hotels location is conveniently situated near the main square and if arriving by train about a 20 minute walk from the station.
Never found the dining room at breakfast busy even on a holiday weekend at all different times.
Breakfast had a vast variety of continental and cooked breakfasts. It seems a pity that with such a large dining room the hotel doesn't offer dinner. The other slight gripe is the bar not opening till 3pm. Still these are minor points that didn't detract from the great time we had.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room overlooking the courtyard. Room 351 was good.
