“Two visits - both really good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 May 2014

Stayed at this hotel in May 2013 and February 2014 - both really good visits. Hotel very central and a great location. Great breakfast and the best bit - a lovely pool and sauna in the basement. Stayed in many hotels in Bruges and this is one of the best.

Booked late so surprised to be able to get in. But this is a great place for a base because of its central location - but what made it for us were the reception staff, the barman and the breakfast team too. Really great, friendly, courteous. The hotel itself is a little on the 'old fashioned' side, with narrow meandering corridors; smallish rooms and basic furnishings/bathroom. If you want a 'hip' and trendy place, this ain't it. But for cosiness and friendliness, Navarra's your place.

Having stayed here over the Easter weekend we would very highly recommend this hotel. The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes walk from the Market Square, but the hotel was very peaceful (we were able to sleep with the window open despite being in a room facing twards the street). The bedrooms and public rooms are all very clean and furnished to a high standard and the costs for a stay were very reasonable indeed given the high quality of the hotel. The jazz bar is a particularly pleasant place for a drink in the evening and much less soulless than most hotel bars. Best of all, though were the helpful staff, in particular those at receiption, who were very helpful and knowledgeable on everything from recommending (and booking) restaurants for dinner, arranging taxis and tours for us and generally just making our stay all the more pleasant (including a very warm welcome which immediately turned round our mood on arrival after a very fraught Eurostar journey). If we return to Bruges (and we certainly intend to) we would definitely try to stay here again.

Room Tip: If you are going to breakfast in the hotel book the deal with Breakfast included as this is much che...

Spent a couple of nights here for Easter and really liked it. For the price our room was compact but comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and the service very good. It was sunny enough to sit in the garden and enjoy a drink from the bar.Franky the bar man was delightful.. Lovely friendly service, which was much appreciated after poor service from the tourist traps of Bruges. Would recommend a stay here.. A quiet retreat from the busy streets of Bruges.

Upon arriving at the hotel and the ease of parking at the rear of the property in their own car park, you know you have made a great choice. The staff are welcoming, the hotel is immaculate and there are yummy chocolates by reception that my son loved. The family room is spacious with high ceilings and had a view to the street, the bathroom is nice and big-everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel. There is a pool in the basement which is amazing, my son had so much fun in there. The hotel is 5 min walk from the centre of Bruges, the breakfast at the hotel is worth the money as there is a big selection both hot and cold. The staff allowed us to leave our car on site after checking out so that we could continue to explore the city, the parking is only €17 and is well worth doing. All in all I cannot fault this hotel we wished we had stayed longer and We are already planning our next stay.

Room Tip: If you have children then pick the family room.

Lovely historic hotel just off the main square full of cafés and restaurants and things to do and see. Attentive staff, very clean and comfortable rooms, attractive garden, nice bar. Didn't use the pool as we ran out of time, must stay longer next time! Mini bar in room plus tea and coffee. Very quiet location. A real gem. We will be back

So close to all the attractions. Just a few minutes walk from Markt. Brilliant staff, all multi lingual. Really professional and helpful. Welcomed on arrival. Very clean. Bathroom and bedroom very good. Parking a real bonus. Breakfast superb with an excellent range and plenty of it. I would recommend it to anyone for a stay in Bruges
