“Pleasent Stay”

Very pleasent stay at this hotel, Breakfast was excellent, varied and sustaining for the day. My single accomodation was a dormer room, just one dislike, the single bed was a bit too short and narrow, It was comfortable though.

We loved this hotel. Stayed here only one night, but wished we had stayed longer. We are a family with 2 young kids and this hotel was great. It is located within walking distance to everything in Bruges. We had the family room which was huge. One double bed and three single beds. They also had a lovely courtyard in the back, and a great breakfast included in the price.
Loved it here.

We just got back from a three night stay here. And it suited us perfect great location to sight see and pop back to drop off shopping. Super friendly and helpful staff got a bit noisy at night but window closed and your sorted cant fault it for the price.

I had the misfortune of having gotten one of the SINGLE rooms in the attic as management explained to me that all single rooms lie in the attic. It was a clean spartan room but still with a small flat screen tv (with limited channels that an international traveler can watch), a rather comfortable double bed but no fridge. The bathroom is the better component.
What I am still wondering about is if a guest leaves the window open in those rooms in the attic and rain starts then floods will invariably happen (and in the case of my room the bed will be hit directly). Another weird feature of this seemingly imposing hotel is the reception closing at 11pm (the friendly staff member did his best to explain this rather complicated and probably not so reliable process of how to open a tiny backdoor after 11pm; a process I did not want to experience during my short stint in this hotel). I must add though that I found breakfast quite good and did enjoy it.

Room Tip: Rooms in the attic are strange but I am quite sure the hotel has much better ones.

This is a small privately run hotel in the heart of Bruges. We stayed there on a Friday & Saturday night in July 2013. Our room was on the top (3rd) floor.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, but the desk staff seem remarkably ill informed about local facilities (eg restaurant choices).
There are two lifts, one older one which takes two people, and a newer larger lift nearer the back of the hotel.
Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean (washing the bathroom floor every time we had a shower helped!). There is no air conditioning, but there are real opening windows and we had a fan in the room. There are no tea / coffee making facilities but there is a mini-bar fridge (the mini-bar prices looked fair). There was a flat screen TV with one BBC channel.
Breakfast is very good - croissants, bread, cheese, meat, eggs, cereal, tea, coffee etc. . There is a small courtyard garden outside the dining room.
The location is superb, less than 200m from The Markt, and very easy to get to by bus from the station, but also walkable from the station, and all parts of Bruges (which is very people friendly city - it's tamed the motor car!).
However, the location is also its downfall - there was a lot of noise on both nights from the nearby pubs & clubs, starting at about 11pm and going on till about 5am. Bruges is a working tourist city, and to some extent this is to be expected, but........

Room Tip: A high room, perhaps at the back of the hotel might minimise the noise from the nearby clubs

I stayed here on my first visit to Bruges, and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were all extremely helpful and polite, the breakfast was good, and the rooms were clean and spacious. There is no restaurant in the hotel so you can only eat breakfasts there, but they do have a bar. However, as it is so central this is not a problem. Within a 5 minute radius of the hotel you will find plenty of restaurants to dine in, supermarkets, as well as two of the main city squares.
I only have two negative comments to make about this hotel; no free wifi, and substandard lifts.
Overall recommended. Cheap relative to what you get, good deal!

Perfect location - 2 min by walk to the central square, clean and cozy rooms, rich breakfast, helpful stuff. We've stayed in several hotels in Belgium, thus is the best for its price. Highly recommended!
