“Superb location and hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2012

An excellent hotel, in an excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. My brother accidentally left his passport in our room the day we checked out and the hotel was very helpful in respect of getting it back to us!.
Very clean rooms and our room on the 2nd floor was really quiet considering how close the belfry is!
My only criticism is how expensive breakfast is,so we didn't bother! At €17 it's a bit steep!. That aside I would wholeheartedly recommend this super hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Martin's Brugge. It was more modern than a number of hotels we stayed at. Rooms were not large but larger than a lot we stayed in. Everything was clean and comfortable. Service was good and the location to Bell Tower, Grote Markt was excellent. Easy to walk to the sites, restaurants etc. Our travel was in October but not 2011 as indicated in the drop down menu.

Stayed at the Martins Hotel, Brugges...fantastic location..1 minute walk to the Markt. Reception staff efficient and friendly..we were 2 hours early than check-in time..rooms available. Not an over big bedroom, but more than adequate..clean bathroom, great shower..our room overlooked the Bell Tower..stunning! Brugges is a beautiful medieval city, easy walking, all flat, but some cobbles. We didnt eat in the restaurant, but the bar area, although not huge was cosy, clean and well equipped..happy hour was a bonus! Overall we would definitely stay here again, there is a secure luggage room if you are on a late check-out.
Petit Maxim for breakfast and Chagal for evening eats, cosy, fab local food and not too expensive.Travelled via Eurostar on an all-in-one package...great time had by all!

Room Tip: Any room really, as Brugges seems quite quiet

We stayed at the new part of the hotel, Romantic room with a great view on lovely street.
We forget something in our room and the receptionist took immediate action and will send it
back. That is a service you will not receive everywere as a standard but was highly appreciated by our side.

Room Tip: Request a room in the new part of the hotel

Just got back from a long weekend in Brugges and am really pleased with my stay at Martin's hotel! Although we couldn't check in before 3pm, the staff kept our lugage, whilst we took a stroll. The location of Martin's hotel is fantastic, the front looks onto the walls of Belfry tower and through there it's straight onto the Markt, as in the main city square.
The hotel is nicely presented and very clean and our room was lovely, as we had a view of the Belfry tower. Considering my short break to Martin's Brugge was booked without much hesitation and was mainly based on price, (was booked through Eurostar breaks) I would definitely recommend this hotel! The only negative was that their breakfast buffet is rather expensive, (17 euro per person) but there are so many coffee shops or restaurants who do decent breakfast, plus they are considerably cheaper. If, on the other hand, you have the good fortune to book your room with breakfast buffet included, you wont be disappointed!

Stayed at Martins Brugge for 4 nights. This is excellent location, just behind the belfort, so very easy walking distance to all of the sight seeing locations. The breakfast was lovely, continental with some warm food. but didn't have chance to eat at Arthie's (it was closed on a Tue). The rooms are clean. Staff helpful. There is a small bar which has happy hour and their local beers are half price. They did charge a nominal fee for 'city tax', which was only 8 euros, as we had already paid in full at the travel agents, we were told we have to pay this on leaving the room. I have yet to query this with the travel agents. Apart from this this is an excellent hotel for location. Ideal location as its walking distance from the markt, and within walking distance from the bus stop which drops you in the markt centre. We did have a ground floor room, so could be a little nosey from the odd cars which used the back streets.

Room Tip: I would avoid a ground floor room
