Modern Hotel with a fabulous position. Pleasant staff and nice bar Happy Hour. We stayed three nights in a 'double' room on Floor 2. Room 204. I had been particular to request a great view and was surprised to be placed just on floor two, out of four. It seems there are no wonderful views to be had, as the hotel is cheek by jowl with other buildings.
There's the usual EuroCheat of two single beds pushed together and we were expected to put up with two single duvets. Not good enough. No double duvets to be had. A romantic weekend break with single duvets???
Breakfast is good but pricey, unless booked prior, but there's a nice cafe around the corner. This hotel is fine but I do so wish this business of faux double beds/bedding is banned by Brussels. Time they did something useful.

We booked this hotel for our one night stay in Brugge. We were there end of November and this was a very nice period of the year to be in Brugge with the Christmas markets and decoration.
As most reviews mention, the location can not be better. So if you book for location then this is the place to stay. The value for money is reasonable but this is only based on the room experience, we did not have breakfast nor a drink in the hotel.
The room we were given was one overlooking the front entrance of the hotel. There was a small window (1m x 0.3m) that we could open for fresh air. The beds were two twins that were made up to a king size bed, I kept falling in between the beds. The bathroom is a bit outdated and I can imagine that other guests who have placed a review about this hotel saying there are little to no amenities in the bathroom. There was only a soap tablet and shower gel dispenser in the shower/bathtub in the room we stayed. In my opinion the amenities can be improved.
The hotel has a luggage room with lockers for guests to leave bags once you have checked out so that you can still visit the city. We were glad to be able to make use of this.

As others have said, this hotel is perfectly located right in the middle of town. Other than that, it's pretty basic. Small but serviceable rooms, though not the smallest I've seen in Europe. Fine size bathroom. Comfortable bed. Nice products, though no conditioner (this drives me nuts at hotels). Also, the walls were kind of thin. Overall, the staff were nice and we liked the eco-friendly touches.

It's hard not to conform with all the other reviews without sounding like a broken record, but the location is superb. We drove from London and Martin's was the second place we reached to stay for NYE, for 4 nights. The hotel is a good 3 stars, it's clean, situated amongst some great Bruges landmarks, as well as the hustling festive shops and cafes. The room was quite small and consisted of two single beds pushed together rather than a double which wasn't ideal, but good fun when my girlfriend fell inbetween them every night... but it was well priced, unlike arguably the food and drink which struggled to break away from most European Hotel's mission to hike prices on everything.

All in all a nice, relaxing, quite and clean stay with friendly staff.

Parking is $25 a day but you might be able to find a car park (quite near) cheaper.

Booked Bruges as a surprise get away for my partner and choose this hotel after carefully reviewing several others.

I was so happy when we arrived as the hotel is directly behind the bell tower and the main square.

The hotel is clean, basic and everything you need for a city break.

Loved, Loved, Loved This City and would defiantly go back again and would stay at this hotel.

:D

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in January 2013. As mentioned before in a previous review, our welcome was efficient rather than friendly. Given a guide and map as well as our keys and sent on our way! Our room was on the first floor (room 710) and extremely clean if a little small. Super comfy bed and a high spec bathroom with an amazing shower! The hotel is very central and the belfry is right in front of you as you walk out the door, all in all a wonderful location. The bar was very nice, we visited only during happy hour so it was good value as well. Only slight grumble is that we weren't given a 'do not disturb' sign and on the first night but didn't realise this so we got a rather early wake up call on our first morning after a really early morning the previous day, only a little moan though. Didn't try the breakfast but it seemed rather expensive at 17euros! All in all a good hotel, perfect for a short stay in Bruges :)

Great location just off the markt, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Could do with a change in decor in the rooms, brown is very dull. Overall good value. Nice beer selection in the bar, happy hour makes is really good value. The taster beers from the Martins range are worth a look!
