I wanted to unwind for a couple of days and this hotel was just the treat. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location couldn't be better : close to all the sites and restaurants and bars but at the same time very quiet location. The room was very comfortable and clean.

The Martin Hotel is perfectly located for exploring the city of Bruges. We arrived at the hotel mid morning and we were instructed to leave our luggage in the provided room, we were then able to hit the tourist sites within 5 minutes...Perfect. The hotel was very clean and tidy, the room although a little cozy was more than adequate for the short break. I thought the breakfast buffet was also more than adequate and would cater for all tastes. Overall I could not fault the hotel or its staff.

We had a lovely time at the hotel. The room was small but suited our needs and the staff were helpful. Only downside was the limited and slightly average breakfast, but that shouldn't put you off staying, we certainly would again.

When booking our hotel we searched various websites and reviews and finally booked this hotel through Expedia and was not disapointed
On arriving early morning on the ferry from Hull we were not able to check in until 3pm but the receptionist showed us the luggage room then we were on our first walk around Bruges which is superb - cobbled streets and well maintained buildings
Our room was at the front of the building over looking the belltower building and had a small balcony clean and tidy inside ; if any complaint the flatscreen tv was small but we were not there to stay in and watch tele - there was a reasonable amount of programmes in english
breakfast was plentiful cerals fruit juice fresh fruits bacon sausage egg cold meats cheese and a wide choice of bread
Food and drink is expensive in Bruges we paid between 80-100€ for a 3 course meal and wine (2 persons) in good restaurants
beer varied iprice from 4 to 7 € a pint- good bar was 2be which had a terrace overlooking one of the canals

All in all a great city break and woud recoomend anyone to stay ay at Martins Bruge

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during a 4.5 week trip through Europe. This part of my trip I was traveling alone.

I absolutely loved Martin's! I paid about $88/night using Expedia, and this was an incredible value for location.

The hotel is conveniently located right behind the Belfry and city centre, where all the action is! Bruges is quite small, so I imagine it would be hard to have a bad location, but I thought this hotel location could not be beat. I paid for a "cosy single room" but was given a nice room with a double bed on the top floor. The room was a bit odd, as it seemed to be in the attic of the building. However, I had an AMAZING view of one of the cathedrals from my window! It was really special.

The only thing I didn't really like about this hotel was the breakfast. For 15Euro I would definitely pass next time and have breakfast at one of the many restaurants in the square. I thought for this price there was very very little choice, many things were out when I was there (no eggs, many breads were nearly empty, etc). I got a lovely breakfast on the square with all the views for 10Euro, and it was great.

Internet was costly at 15Euro per day, but that seems standard for Europe.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.
