“Brilliant stay!!! - would return..”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

Parked the car on the corner.....mmm....not sure
Checked in....swift, efficient....err..parked car on corner?
Not good - i was shown to a spot further down the road with a "borrowed" parking permit for 5 euros..hand it back and I will return your deposit!!!
Then i witnessed a resident - i don't have a suitable travel plug - no problem - big box of various that you can borrow!!
Our room even had a complimentary mozzi plug - not that we would need it.
From start to finish this has been a good hotel, view down the side road with double glazing has been a quiet room.
Breakfast is a staged affair so that it is not too busy and queuing, nice selection of European fare.
Room is spotless - only complaint is a hard pillow - being picky, might be?
Overall, i would stay here again - absolutely no questions asked, they do go the extra mile -
Bruges is small and this is my 5th visit and this hotel is a perfect location to explore and
superfast internet has allowed me to write this on my last night - please visit!!

Room Tip: We were in room 36 which was on a side road but it is a quiet location anyway and unsure if it matte...

We've enjoyed 3 nights at Bruge Europ Hotel in April, 2014.
Pros:
+location: 10 relaxing walking distance till the city center;
+good (4-5 Mbps) WiFi available in rooms;
+good and diversified breakfast;
+nice and usefull staf;
+room and hotel cleariness;
+just be fair and set your expectation for a resonable 2 star hotel;
+ due to cobblestons road I do not recomand walking with troley lagguage to and from railway station, 3 & 13 busses take you in thr hotel proximity or any bus to the city center. AnyWay, there are over 2 Km till railway station;
- cossy local pubs in the hotel proximity;

Cons:
- small room (at least our was) and very small Tv;
- all shops in city downtown are closing at 19:30. Probably the shops in the railway could be a solution for urgencies (eg. mineral water..);

Upon arrival we were advised to wait until 2pm before we were able to check in.

Not a problem, allowed to leave luggage in reception, also given early check-in at 20 past 1.

The rooms are very basic bust spacious. The single beds were rather hard and uncomfortable to sleep on however after a tiring day was good to sleep with the peaceful location.

The breakfast was very basic, although not much more was expected, a short 10 minute stroll allowed you straight to the main attractions where we got breakfast from there.

Bathroom was very basic with just a shower and tight space for the toilet. We had a few issues with the shower and getting the temperature as would be very hot, then reduce to rather cold. After turning the shower off it still produced water for a while after, not a problem as leaving the room after a shower.

Overall good value for money, would stay again.

We stayed there for 3 nights. Bruges, well what can I say..the entire part of the old city is magnificent. But after walking through all the attractions it is always good to have a nice and quite place to sleep. The hotel is nicely situated by the canal, but not the the one that most people will wonder around, but still just 10 minutes from the town square. We stayed in the 3 beds room located in the atic. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is so standard, but then this is not a problem for us as we normally eat out of the hotel anyway.

So we recommend this hotel if you want some quite place to stay but still only 10 minutes to the attractions. But then in Bruges..everything is withing walking distance.

It is a 2 star hotel. If you book it, don't expect luxury. Friendly service, mostly clean and very good quiet location. Double bed was in fact 2 large singles put together, quite firm. We didn't have a bath, but a good shower. Complimentary breakfast was good. Nothing really negative. Would stay there again.

recently spent a weekend celebrating partners birthday and found this hotel to be very reasonably priced we stayed in a first floor room which overlooked the side street although we had requested a canal view the room was clean and surprisingly quite spacious and the double bed was leaning more towards a king size the down points were the dated bathroom and the very small tv high in a corner(this wasn't an issue as we had not come for the tv)

Breakfast (which was included in the price) was a typical continental buffet style and more than satisfied our appetites. We chose the latest of the three sittings but still found there to be plenty of selection.

The staff here were very friendly and attentive. our room was cleaned and fresh linen daily.
Yes the lift was tiny and had carpeted walls!! but in an older building it adds to the charm.

A short stroll through some picturesque cobbled streets brings you to the central square with many attractions and shopping leading off.
Overall a good choice of hotel and I would rate it more than its 2star

Room Tip: go for the larger rooms not standard ones

Lots of very positive things about this small and friendly hotel. We stayed here for a long weekend in Bruges, Saturday to Monday. The reception and breakfast staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic and a bit old-fashioned, but they are perfectly clean and comfortable. The double bed was firm and comfortable with spotless bed linen. We had a double room for 2, which had a tiny bathroom, and a room with two double beds for 4 with a huge bathroom.
It's difficult for the bathrooms to look sparkling as they need a bit of updating and renovation but they're actually perfectly clean.
Very good breakfast: extended continental with a range of breads, cold meats, cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, yoghurts, croissants, pain au chocolat. No choice of juices; just orange. The key area of improvement needs to be the quality of the coffee.
Lovely location overlooking a canal but only the two front rooms on each floor have a view. Genuinely easy walking distance to the city centre; 10 minutes max. The nearest public car park is about 10 to 15 minutes walk and only €8 per day.
This isn't a chain hotel and it treats guests well. It's very good value for money, as long as you have realistic expectations. We'd certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a front room if you want a view of the canal and if you're going to spend enough time in...
