“Expensive for what you get”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2012

I used to recommend this place but my visit last week has cured me. I will not go back. We ordered the daily 'omelette' and two small cappuccinos. The omelette was more like a small slice of quiche. It was quite small, and the bill for two of us came to over 30 euros/almost $40! I was still hungry. This was one expensive bill for such a spartan meal, and it was quiche, not am omelette. One more thing....the hot beverages are served in these bowl-like cups with no handles. Too hot to hold comfortably, you have to cradle the hot cup in your hands or lift it by the rim. What's up with that?

“Awful Brakfast”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2012

Our experience here was truly awful - The fact the place was empty should have warned us but we were hungry, the menu looked promising and it had been recommended as a good place for breakfast on one of the Tripadvisor forums. We chose the standard breakfast; coffee, a basket of breads, with cheese, ham and a boiled egg. The coffee was served promptly but was nearly finished by the time a decidedly unfriendly seeming waitress delivered the basket of breads which included a Pain Au Chocolat - We asked if these could be substituted for plain croissants but unfortunately, none were available - Hey ho, I guess a consequence of being late for breakfast. So we finished our coffee whilst waiting patiently for the eggs to arrive Coffee finished and still no eggs, so we asked how long they would be and where told that there was some problem boiling the water and they would take a little longer We started on the bread, cheese and ham, in the hope we wouldn’t have finished before the eggs came - Eventually, the eggs arrived and were actually the best part of breakfast. Generally not very pleasant, the breads verging on stale and the staff decidedly unwelcoming Suffice to say, I won’t be returning to this or any other Le Pain Quotidien

“High quality, good value, organic lunches”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2012

We were pleased to stumble across this palce for lunch during our recent stay in Bruges.
The menu is as varied as in any other Pain Quo and the quality and freshness are just as good.
Highly recommended for lunches or coffees. Lemon tartlettes are excellent with coffee!
Staff very knowledgeable about the food they serve and can advise about food suitable for different allergies etc.

“Great salads & sandwiches”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2012

Oh and don't forget their chocolate brownies, heavenly. I usually order the 'Boeuf Basilic' sandwich, which is very very good. I like the food and drinks. Somethings are a bit too pricey I think, like their lemonades. But it is a place I love going to, with friends, or just on my own, and sit and read the newspaper, or mingle with the people at the big table... Definitely a place I recommend.
