This is our eighth trip to Europe, but we tend to forget most of the hotels where we have stayed. This one, like the Davinzati in Florence or the Elyses Regenzia in Paris, is not forgotten. The personal service of the caring and attentive owners, Marc and Lieve, help place this wonderful hotel firmly in your, " There is a great hotel that you must try," recommendations to your friends and family.
The location is great, a short ride by bus that picks you up at the front door and delivers you to the heart of where you need to go. If you had rather walk, it is a pleasant 15 minute walk along the scenic canals. We stayed on the second floor overlooking the canal and the architectually interesting buildings that faced us on the other side of the canal.
The breakfast, which would have cost 15-20 Euro in many cities was included in the price. From the piping hot coffee or tea, the cooked to order boiled eggs, meats and cheeses, and rolls with the terrific jams, and cheery conversation from Lieve, the breakfast was a great start to each day.
Bruges is a pleasant and restful city and the Hotel Ter Duinen is our highly recommended hotel of choice.
