This is our 4th stay at the hotel and we wouldn't look to go anywhere else in Bruges now that we have found this lovely little place. Wonderful breakfasts as well! Can't recommend it enough.

Just returned from our holiday in Bruges which is an amazingly beautiful city. We both loved the hotel and so did our 2 year old daughter. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, I even heard them giving advice to a pair of backpackers who hadn't booked (the hotel was full) on where they might find a room for the night. I couldn't imagine most hotel staff being this helpful.

The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the centre and located in a beautiful part of town over looking the canal. The bus stop outside either goes to the train station or to the town centre so is very convenient.

We had a double room overlooking the canal. The triple glazing meant the room was nice and quiet and I didn't hear any of the other guests so we had a really peaceful nights sleep. The bed was large with soft pillows (and extra ones) and lovely sheets. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a warm and powerful shower. The bathroom was nice but could do with a refurb as we noticed the next door room had a more stylish looking bathroom.

The breakfast room was really lovely and there was fresh orange juice and a boiled eggs with a good selection of cereals etc. The room was so nice it is a shame they dont serve dinner as well.

I did think it was a bit pricey for a three star hotel but it was certainly worth the money. Definitely recommend to anyone staying in Bruges.

We stayed one night at the Hotel Ter Duinen, which was an excellent choice! We reviewed several hotels on Trip Advisor and we were very happy staying here--when we return to Brugge, we won't think of staying anywhere else. The entire experience, from booking to check-out, was top-notch. Call or e-mail the hotel directly (or book through the hotel's direct website) and you will usually get better rates than if you book through Expedia or another large travel website. Upon request, the owner even upgraded us to a room overlooking a canal at no extra charge.

The staff go out of their way to ensure your comfort and happiness. The hotel is in a great location (a beautiful 10-min. walk from the center of town); it is quiet, quaint, very clean, modern, and very reasonably priced. Besides the high quality of the hotel and staff, other amenities include free WiFi, parking in garage (15 Euro per night which is a lot cheaper than many other hotels), travel advice, large bathroom, free breakfast which was excellent!! Many thanks to the all the staff that work so hard making this a wonderful hotel.

Room Tip: Call or e-mail the hotel directly

This is our eighth trip to Europe, but we tend to forget most of the hotels where we have stayed. This one, like the Davinzati in Florence or the Elyses Regenzia in Paris, is not forgotten. The personal service of the caring and attentive owners, Marc and Lieve, help place this wonderful hotel firmly in your, " There is a great hotel that you must try," recommendations to your friends and family.

The location is great, a short ride by bus that picks you up at the front door and delivers you to the heart of where you need to go. If you had rather walk, it is a pleasant 15 minute walk along the scenic canals. We stayed on the second floor overlooking the canal and the architectually interesting buildings that faced us on the other side of the canal.

The breakfast, which would have cost 15-20 Euro in many cities was included in the price. From the piping hot coffee or tea, the cooked to order boiled eggs, meats and cheeses, and rolls with the terrific jams, and cheery conversation from Lieve, the breakfast was a great start to each day.

Bruges is a pleasant and restful city and the Hotel Ter Duinen is our highly recommended hotel of choice.

The owners are wonderful; very helpful with anything you may need during your stay. The breakfast room is beautiful and great, warm, fresh bread and rolls each morning! The walk to the town center is not long-maybe 15 minutes or so. The bus stops right in front of the hotel if you prefer to ride. We walked home each evening from the town center and felt very safe doing so. Bruges is beautiful. If we go back to Bruges, would definately stay here again.

The couple who run this hotel are so friendly and full of useful information. The hotel is looked after with love and care, and has the most wonderful breakfast room. It's in a great location, just a 10 minute walk from the Market Square. In fact, the breakfast room is so beautiful it's a shame that they don't serve dinner in the hotel. We followed some of the recommendations on where to eat, and the food was lovely. We hope to go again in December, and take the children with us.
A lovely gem of a hotel.
